That one scene that first made you fall in love with the show. Mine was the end of episode 1x02. Just seeing Cooper dancing and sdnapping to the music made me realize that I was gonna enjoy the show a lot.

The first scene in the pilot with Pete "She's dead...wrapped in plastic". Instantly I was intrigued. But, being a Lynch fan already, just knowing he was behind the show, sold it to me!
Ben: "We've laid in a gala reception for your fair-haired boys tonight. All of Twin Peaks' best and brightest." Jerry: "We're holding it in a phone booth?"

The opening credits sequence, with that music. But there had already been so much advance publicity, I thought I was going to like the show. Just about every scene in the pilot confirmed it.
The question is, Where have you gone?

Cooper's first scene as he drives into town. I had never seen a character quite like that.

It was the red room...2 times. The first was a few days before the pilot was aired in the UK. Jonathan Ross had a series called 'For one week only' detailing the works from the left field of cinema, lynch being one of them. There was already a buzz about this new American tv series in the air and this show just reinforced the pull towards the magical world that is TP. Within a couple of minutes the man from another place appeared and I was sold. If you have an hour to kill watch the program, excellent and enthralling: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xY_7HuqWBAM
(Look out for Ross doing a BOB walk straight towards camera. I can only imagine he had seen some of the second series or even the filming of it in order to do this! Great to those old sets and Lynch during his purple patch)
The second time was during the dream sequence. I was kinda already sold on TP by this point, from the opening credits onwards, but this sealed the deal. Not only was I sold on TP but it blew my 14 year old mind so much that I started to walk in the creative life from that point onwards, 20 years later i have not looked back once. I was forever chaged and my creative eyes were opened, being a visual artist I will never have the words to describe that feeling, but all of you no doubt get the intent of my poor description. I'm currently wistfully nostalgic for the world of TP, the mood and the feeling it gives/gave to me. Thank you for this board and its members for letting me dip back into that bliss. Let's rock!

That's easy. The emotional aftermath of the murder of Maddy Ferguson. I also always wished they would have done a scene with Major Briggs recreating the White Lodge out of his mashed potatoes. That would have struck close to home with me.
"Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it, don't wait for it, just let it happen. Could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot, black coffee. Like this." -Dale Cooper
