I actually own this board game. It's confusing as hell and not very much fun to play, but people love it anyway.

You can find it on eBay every now and again. Doesn't go for much money these days, though when I bought my copy about ten years ago, they were going for a lot. So snap one up if you want to add it to your TP collection.

It's a nice thing to have as part of your collection! :) Even if it is weird. Good luck finding one! :)

Aw, this brings back memories... the board game was one of my Christmas presents when I was 11 and I didn't get to play it with an actual other person until I was about 20 because no one I knew had ever watched Twin Peaks! I think you should buy it, OP. It's a nice bit of memorabilia.

I've never heard about this in all my searching of TP merchandise. Looks interesting and I might get it down the road.

It's mildly amusing, but a little more effort could have made a much better game!

The board itself and the box are great, and the concept-- collecting clue cards to come up with a different killer every time, as your travel around to location squares from the series-- is fun.

My only complaints are that the game pieces (log, gun, coffee cup etc.) and donut "chips" aren't shaped into what they are supposed to be. Also, the motifs on the cards and other game pieces are just bad clip art.

You are trying to complete 3 objectives to win:

1. Create a pentagram by collecting game pieces with significant objects on it, which you collect by landing on the Red Room and turning a spinner. There are only a few backward phrases in the gamebook, so the game gets repetitive.

2. Collect a certain a dozen donuts, which you can lose and gain depending on the squares/places you land on.

3. Have a full hand of matching suspect cards, also determined by where you land.

One game takes as long as a game of Monopoly to complete, but is far more tedious and repetitive! So if you can find at least 2 other people to play it with, chances are they won't want to play it again.

But, hey, it's a fun novelty piece!

If I've learned anything from the board games spawned from Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Battlestar Galactica (70's), Battlestar Galactica (00's), and Star Trek: The Next Generation, it's that trying to keep track of all the pieces, objectives, and rules is pretty much the opposite of fun.

That's why I stick with Trivial Pursuit. Then you get all those franchises with none of the tedium!
