For me it's Bobby Briggs - he's hilarious in most of his scenes, in the first season with the Major and in many other scenes.  His mannerisms are hilarious and over-the-top and when he loses his temper it's an absolute blast.  I laughed so hard at his scene with Mr. Pinkle, and especially at his -

"AFRAAAAAIID!?!  AFRAAAAAAAIIID?!?!?!?"

- before Laura's funeral. 

And he's also a highly likeable character too IMO.  He's youthful, full of energy and life, has initiative and good intentions for Shelley...

The only time I didn't like him was in the pilot and the first episode, in which he just seemed like a jerk.

For me it's Ben Horne... Never a dull moment with Ben onscreen, and I have fun with him even in serious scenes. It's that Shakesperian-crazy way Beymer says his lines, his expressions and gestures...

That scene with Hank ("You're out, Ben") is a total riot of Beymer awesomeness, for example...

Leland was kind of funny but also extremely tragic in a couple of episodes but I have to agree with the guy from Barcelona. Ben Horne is funny almost all the time, I wonder how he looked when he was with Laura...? Probably like this board has stated  before; like a little boy (wo)manhandled by her.. pleading and begging.

Anyway my favourite scene has to be when he moves his mouth, the w a y he moves his mouth talking to Lucy on the phone. That´s my definitioin of scorn; Lucy the local, stupid girl and grand waste of Ben´s oh so precious time vs. Ben King (Nothing). Or something.

Ben:  "We've laid in a gala reception for your fair-haired boys tonight.  All of Twin Peaks' best and brightest."

Jerry: "We're holding it in a phone booth?"

Ben Horne. His "You're out, Ben....Ben, you're out......" and laugh is amazing.

Leland Palmer when go crazy - singing and dancing with the cane.

And of course Pete Martel  - all the time.

I also like the Mayor Milford when he asked Dr. Hayword if he check for witchcraft when he did Duggy's authopsy; when he said "I don't wanna talk, I wanna shoot!" and " Is this thing on?Is this thing on?" when he used a microphone  

Albert....even watching his sarcastic facial expressions is priceless!
