I've been rewatching the series over the past couple of weeks, in the spirit of Fest season.  Today I watched ep. 24, and James Foley's ep. had so many fine touches, I wanted to express my pleasure about:

-The opening close-up shot of Harry, with its golden light and tones reminded me of this Rembrandt painting (Aristotle with Bust of Homer):

The expression, tilt of the head, lighting.  Lovely.

-Michael Horse had a lot more to do, and Hawk does it for me!

-Windom practicing pranayama...nice touch.

-The ridiculous fashion show, and David Lander as Pinkle--good for a laugh.

-Ben and Catherine in the lounge at the Great Northern, post Ben's "awakening".  Always a highlight when Richard and Piper have a scene.

Side Note 1:  For those of us old enough to remember Lenny & Squiggy , Michael McKean played Lenny to David Lander's Squiggy.  McKean, in his persona as a heavy metal musician with Spinal Tap, played The Daily Show on 7/28.  Songs: Sex Farm and Give Me Some Money--very funny and the guys have chops! Christopher Guest is stunning in high tops, white socks, plaid skirt-not-quite-a-kilt and leather jacket.)

Side Note 2:  for another piece of art brought to mind by Sarah's white horse vision:

John Henry Fuseli -  The Nightmare (1791)

"I'm talking about seeing beyond fear, Roger.  About looking at the world with love."
