It is said that Laura Palmer wanted to die. And I think she did. So would you respect her wishes, or give her a chance of some sort to continue living?

The moral thing to do would be to save her.

I'd save her too, with the knowledge of Twin Peaks or without.

Without a doubt! Although I bet in doing so would condemn you to Bob's affliction. I would definitely try to save her though, wanting to die and actually diying are two different things.

I wouldn't save her... She made a decision and thought that was the only way to escape from BOB. Since I don't see any other way to accomplish that I would respect her decision... However, if I didn't know about her decision, BOB, etc. that's another matter... I'd probably (try to) save her. The big question is: what the hell am I doing walking in the middle of the night in that goddamn forest anyway? Who am I, Adam from "Northern Exposure"?

i dont see how this question has any relevance to anything. twin peaks was a tv show and a film. both fiction. im not trying to be snide, but this is like asking if you were he-man and she-ra was trapped in castle greyskull, would you save her? of course not, its a bloody cartoon!

lol, how bizarre are you, JFK?! With all due respect, we are all logging on here and talking about a TV show that ended like 20 years ago...so I s'pose we are all a bit sad! and all our posts are irrelevant!!! But this is a Twin Peaks message board, so if a poster wants to say random things about TP...this is the place for it!!!!! If I knew Laura's situation I probably would not try and save her, no...just in case I inadvertently condemned her to more years of suffering at BOBs hands, but if I did not know, then yes I would try to save her.

you miss my point. which is even more bizarre. we are on this forum to discuss how TP has affected our lives. which is very relevent to each of our lives and dreams. but NOT how we would react and makes decisions within the fictional TP world as if we were a character in it. that is your sad fact and your irrelevent post if you want to think of it that way. you said it. i think there are many deeper themes and worlds in TP to be explored than the "what if..." line of fandom.

and if you dont mind, i think we can keep our discussions cordial and not result in name calling. it only weakens the points you are trying to make.

I would save Little Nicky's foster parents from their car accident... That way he doesn't become an orphan again, doesn't require the help of the Happy Helping Hand organization, Dick doesn't become "Uncle Dick", Andy doesn't go "funny boom boom" and we get rid of that abominable subplot... I'd probably try to save Doug Milford so he and Lana live happy and no subplot about them is required; oh, and I'd put a big sign in the Wallies bar saying "No freakin' bikers allowed. Move along", so James doesn't stop there and goes directly to San Francisco...

Wow, you're very up yourself aren't you JFK? And I notice you're not ad admin, but are obviously an admin-wannabe. Stop trying to regulate the forum and be a superior git.

Well, he *was* president of the US. And got shot. By a guy with an umbrella (or so they say). And Clint Eastwood was there. And Gary Oldman. And Marilyn died as well. Jeez... I'd be upset too...

you know what, you havent even been on this board a month yet. and youve posted almost 50 times. i feel like im talking to a lesser coolsprings. your naive questions are uninteresting and unchalleging to me and i know im not the only one. sure we goof off too, sometimes you just have to so as to deal with the world of TP. but never have i seen these opinion based poles i expect to read in people magazine. strike that, teen people. what do they prove? and why is the best defense you can come up with is that im up with myself(im guessing thats britsh twat) and that im a wannabe admin. if you actually knew the admintstrators here you know that, tho its not a thankless job. it neither one i have the time or desire for. so out of all your unfounded assumtions, the best you can do is acuse me of being a snob. an insult that says more about you, for calling someone pretentious is a sure sign that you are instead afraid of being inferior. which you prove by ridculously telling me to stop regulating a forum i dont regulate and am just as free to post as you are. i said i was sorry for my previous rude comment, and i felt i apologized properly. but this name calling school yard bullsh*t had no place here. and i every right to try to have an intelligent discourse, just as you have every right to ask your questions. and we both have the right to respond in kind. because in case you havent noticed, youre trying to regulate just as you accuse me of the same.

I would definitely burn the RR to the ground, killing Norma in the process... That way, Annie doesn't come to Twin Peaks and stays in whatever convent she's staying and maybe, maybe if we're lucky she gets so depressed about her sister's demise that hell yeah, this time she succeeds in killing herself...

I don't think there is anything wrong with talking about a TV programme from 20 years ago. People are still reading Homer's Odyssey and that was from about 3000 years ago! It's still in print and some people still enjoy reading it. What's wrong with that? Why should people stop reading/watching things, just because they are from a long time ago?

Every time I visit this board all the people are different. It's like going to a blind person's house and moving the furniture around...
I ran from the noise and the silence, from the traffic on the streets

....and that is why I´m perfectly fine with "naive and uninteresting questions"! I´m so happy the very first and very old board is dead because I´d DIE if I would have to read some of MY first questions and theories from the early days and my early twenties. But then again, back then TP was "only" about 12-13 years old so I guess my questions were acceptable....? D
Yeah but no but yeah but no but....
