...and it has fucking nothing on the season 1 soundtrack. In fact, oddly enough, Julee Cruise's season 2 songs are missing from it. Why? I don't know. There were stupid bits of music from season 2 to go with some stupid plots, but they could have at least included the good stuff. The only great tracks I can think of are the Love theme farewell, Harold's theme and Dark Mood Woods/The Red Room.
There was a fiish..iinn the percolatrr!

I actually really love the S2 soundtrack. Sure, i would happily replace "Barbershop" and "Hayward Boogie" with some more of the "moodier" pieces from the show, but overall i think it's pretty damn good. Julee Cruise's "Floating Into The Night" and "The Voice Of Love" albums both contain the songs from the series and have been out for way over a decade now, so i can see why their inclusion on the CD wasn't really considered. I agree with Harold's Theme though. That's one of my favourite songs from the Soundtrack trilogy.

no offence, but it sounds like you feel ripped off,as if you didn't check the track listing before you bought it. alas, it is an ongoing hope on this board as dugpas for a more 'complete' soundtrack. anyways, i love it, more or less.

My thoughts exactly, why buy a soundtrack without checking which tracks are on it? There's plenty of info online, there's the Gazette, Dugpa and I bet there are some samples of it in Amazon and online shops like that...

I like the S2 soundtrack. But when I watched the series again recently, I realized there's got to be enough unreleased music for at least another album. I want it all! Even Leland's old big-band jazz tunes.... and his crazy mad singing.
The question is, Where have you gone?

Maybe it just needs to grow on you? Remember that some of the songs are from FWWM as well. And you really should consider purchasing the Julee Cruise album, "Floating into the Night." It has all of the songs from TP, and the other non-TP songs on it are very Peaksy. I hope there is another TP album in the future, and that it includes the instrumental version of Sycamore Trees.

I'm actually quite looking forward to hearing another album from Julee Cruise. I thought her last album, although not exactly "Peaksy", had some great songs on, still trippy and dreamy, and i quite liked her 'updated' version of Falling too. But yeah, more than that a S2 and EVEN more CD would be great, but i'm not holding my breath.

I still haven't gotten the season 2 soundtrack--which I need to rectify because I want it for the "Hook Rug Dance" alone. :) I have "Floating into the Night" and highly recommend finding that beauty if you don't own it already. It has "Rockin' Back Inside My Heart", "The World Spins", and "Falling", plus the rest of the songs rock as well. I found it in a used CD shop and nearly squealed with delight. :)

'Floating Into The Night' also contains 'The Swan' which is heard briefly in the pilot episode.

Really?! Cool! :) Where? | Near the end of the episode when Truman walks up to Josie at Blue Pine Lodge. It's an instrumental version

Wow!! (You know I had to go look LOL) I never noticed that!! Nice spot! I should just go get the second soundtrack--I have all the other CD's, would be a pity to have an incomplete collection. As Albert would put it, a real three hankie crime.
