Thanks, Jordan! It will be a quiet one but busy for me. Off to the hospital to photograph the Born on the Fourth of July newborns, then to the other extreme -- BBQ at my mom's senior community. After all that entertainment we'll return home for a small BBQ dinner for four with a couple of long time friends. No fireworks anticipated. Susan

Hopefully our will quiet as well. We just got back from two week in Texas (joke here) and the Fest in just around the corner so the budget is pretty tight. I have plenty of drunk neighbors shooting off fireworks so I'll get the gardens hoses at the ready and try not to any Iraqi flashbacks, INCOMING!!!!!!!!! Please have a fun and safe 4th.

I am not really doing anything this fourth. I ate some hamburgers but they were cooked in the oven and not grilled out. Just found out that a friend of mine son is being shipped over seas. He joined the Army not long ago.

Yes indeed, a tremendous amount of my friends are heading to both locations as we speak. I got lucky this time around and will remain at Fort Lewis. But I could still get the "hey you" if my boss gets a wild hair.

I'm a bit late here . . . but the fourth of July always catches my attention. I'm from the UK so we don't celebrate it over here; however, I celebrate the date in an alternate fashion: the fourth of July is my birthday! Yeah!
