I became interested in this series around October 2007, which was when I first watched the amazing pilot. I enjoyed it a lot, but, for some reason, I didn't continue watching after that. I got my hands on season one recently and watched all eight episodes yesterday, enjoying it VERY much. The pace was great, the writing was superb, I knew when to fall in love with the characters and when to hate them, etc. One thing I absolutely liked was the way all the character plots intertwined and how characters returned later on in totally unexpected moments. Anyway, I still have to watch season two (I'm on 2x04) and the film in order to freely post on Twin Peaks forums, so I guess I'll be limited to this thread for the time being. My favorite characters: -Dale Cooper. His obsession with coffee and his inbuilt affair-radar made me laugh out loud several times. He's quite the character. -Harry Truman. A good hero to the show. -Audrey Horne. Beautiful and manipulative, what's not to like?

Welcome to our world! I am always happy to hear that people are still discovering the show. It's cool to have fresh eyes here.

Thanks for the welcome. I'm very glad I finally got on with watching the show, and I can't wait to finish and watch the film. I keep asking myself if Twin Peaks could have continued on as a long-running show, and why people say the last few episodes are subpar. It's called Twin Peaks, not The Death of Laura Palmer.

The last 2 episodes are great. It is the middle of season 2 where it gets a bit dicey. You will soon understand grasshopper. :)

Welcome! The woods here are wondrous...but strange. Yes, starting with about the ninth episode of Season 2 (Episode 17 overall) things get kind of...well, bad. But hang in there! It gets really good again towards the end.

AHHHH.....I envy you, Douglas Ferns! I remember when it was all new to me, enjoy! You will go from loving it, to being obsessed with it!
Ben: "We've laid in a gala reception for your fair-haired boys tonight. All of Twin Peaks' best and brightest." Jerry: "We're holding it in a phone booth?"

So I finished both season two and FWWM on Sunday, and I was glad that the ended on such a high note, despite the numerous slow subplots seen through the second season. But I'm not going to consider myself a season two hater as most people on this forum seem to be. I enjoyed the final scene a lot, and picked up from it that BOB found Dale's question about Annie silly, as he knows what her fate really is. It sucks that the last we got to see of Audrey was the bank explosion. One of my favorite characters and no proper conclusion, though I'm glad she semi-survived for the lost third season. As for FWWM, I give it a 8.5/10. I rewinded the part where it skips to Twin Peaks as I found the trasition to be genius. Personally, I thought the Lodge scenes were too confusing for their own merit, especially the grandson/grandmother scenes. I need to give the movie a rewatch, though, as I was very tired and not paying much attention that night. To conclude, I'm gonna give the fandom a try. There will definitely be a time later this year when I'll have the chance to watch the whole thing again. And the Twin Peaks Fest looks amazing, so I'll hopefully be interested in the 2010 event.

It's a show unlike no other. The only thing I've seen that comes close (and it only barely does) is a Canadian show called Rabbit Fall.

| Kings Row was the beginning of the century, Peyton Place was the middle of the century and Twin Peaks was the end. Small towns with secrets and incest related murders.

I'm a LOST fan, so I guess you could assume that I often compared it to that.
