QUOTE:*sigh* Don Davis...

Yes, Don was one of the greatest people I've ever met. For those that are new to the Fest or this website I'll share one quick story. Back in 02 or 03 Don came to the fest and during the Sunday picnic sat down with a group of us for almost two hours. He shared stories ranging from his days as an Army Captain to his days to a stuntman to TP, movies, and everything in between. He was happy to answer any and every fan question, take pictures.  He was a genuine gentleman and was extremely generous to the fans and we loved him for that.  He will remain one of my favorite Fest memories.

Wow...my conversation GREW while I was gone.

Don was incredible.  I only got to meet him once, but he was kind, down to earth, and treated the fans as though they were friends already.  Great guy!

Truthfully, every celeb I have met has been totally awesome.  Al Strobel was really cool, and it was neat to see him do MIKE in real life!  Phoebe Augustine was very friendly and hung out with the fans openly...that was cool.  Kimmy Robertson....AWESOME....she is like a SPIRIT who flutters love around during the fest.  I laughed alot with her....and she encouraged me to take up TAP DANCING.  (don't know where she got that, but she has mentioned it to me a few times saying my personality shows I could do it well.)

Kenneth Welsh was simply COOL.....what a trip it was meeting him.  Great guy...funny, full of great stories, too.  He told me how when FWWM was originaly thought up, there was going to be a scene with Dale and Windom in the asylum playing chess.  He said it was dropped because it wasn't needed for the story...and although that is true...I would LOVE to see that!

And of course....JENNIFER LYNCH!   SHE IS AWESOME!  What a cool person.....I love being around her.  When the celeb dinner was starting on her first year, and she didn't know to sit at the celeb table or something....she just walked up to a table full of fans with her plate and said, "HEY!  Can I sit here?"  I remember the people looked at her with surprise and joy!  It was so cool.  Gotta love Jen!  It is too bad she hasn't made it in the last few years...but Surviellence at least made it last year.  Awesome movie!

Don, Kimmy, Charlotte, Phoebe, Richard, Little Mike and Jen Lynch have gone above and beyond, just hanging out with us. Michael Horse is also a sweetie! And Chris Mulkey likes to get torn up, which is funny.

Walter Olkewicz was a little TOO friendly.

Russ Tamblym and spouse are major assholes and demand money for autographs. I am also told that they will ignore you compeletly if you try to strike up a conversation and they aren't in the mood.

A few others I found difficult to approach: Everett McGill, Lenny von Dohlen and Dana Ashbrook. I think the Fest situation was just alien to them, and that's understandable.

Also, Sheryl Lee has said she will never come, though she sent a sweet video message one year. Her reason was that former organizer Eric Thomas said she was coming in order to promote the Fest and sell tickets without ever having even asked her. Even though she knows there are new organizers, she told the Gold Box interviewers that it would never happen.

Yes, Walter sure did seem to like the ladies didn't he.

Dana was very approachable; perhaps his girlfriend guarding him like a Pitbull was the problem.

Deanne and I had a similar experience with Russ as well. Long story short, was the Japanese family wanted him to sign everything he ever did and it really pissed him off. Oh well, you wanted to be famous, fucking get over yourself and be there for your fans. Guess what, no fans, no career.  Would you like fries with that!

I got to take a piss with Lenny. While standing at the Barn's community pisser Lenny stood next to me and we exchange pleasentries. His wife and daughter sat with us during the celebrity dinner and they were very sweet people. Lenny seemed a bit freaked out initially but he opened up at the picnic.

This sounds a bit like a rant by someone who gets pulled over for speeding. Don't pull me over, don't you know who I am, I pay your salary!

If we're going to blather about celebrity guests and their quirks, I'd be remiss to not mention Baby Naynay.  Sweet, sweet, Baby Naynay

I'm still annoyed that that never came to fruition so I could provide you with the BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVER.

Admit it...you would have been stoked. :P

It would've been amazing. I can only hope it would've been paperback so I could roll it into a tube and make love to it.

Baby NayNay was James Marshall's baby book that he was writing-- his daughter is named Renee, (so y'all don't think we're being inside jokey.) James is also a friendly guy.

Nefud, I forgot your favorite, Catherine! Catherine lets people hold the log. She unloaded it on me once at the llama farm and left me standing there alone with it. It was like someone just gave me the holy graille. I just stood there holding it with my mouth hanging open.

Didn't you say a very small piece of bark fell off in your shoe, and you retrieved it? Luckyyyy.

Catherine is the nicest "famous" person I've ever met. Not a shred of ego, very easy to talk to. I hope she lives forever, followed shortly by sainthood.

Yes, its the REAL log!!!!  Catherine is very gracious about the telling the story of how the log came to be. I hope she'll return to the Fest soon so others can hear the story and enjoy her company.

I have a great picture of Catherine, myself dressed as MAJ Briggs while holding the log. I was shocked when said I could it. I was waiting for the angels to sing as I accepted Excalibur from the Lady of the Lake. Oops, I meant The Log Lady.

Yes! I have a piece of bark from THE log, as well as some off the driftwood from the pilot, and now I have a piece of the broken window from Jacques' cabin, too!

I don't consider that nerdy. Nerdy is collecting 8x10's and autographs and getting angsty over inconsistencies, script discepancies and what's canon or not. I will own up to being a Peaks Geek!

I don't see why not. Once I accepted my nerdyness I was a lot happier.

Holding the actual LOG from the log lady herself was just surreal.  AWESOME.

Yes, I love that...and I hope Catherin comes back.  She looks so much the same, and is so cool.  I love th story she tells about the log lady howling at the moon in FWWM...a scene which was never used.  I WISH that was used.  damn...I would love to see that one!

I would also love to get Richard Beymer or Ray Wise to come. Some friends saw Wise at a horror convention and got him to sing "Mares eat Oats" during a Q and A!  I doubt we will get the high-rollers, though.....like it was pointed out that Sheryl Lee wouldn't come, and Kyle probably won't either....but people would be stoked if he did.

I actually think anyone who comes who is a cool person, would enjoy coming again...I just bet their schedules don't always permit it.  I know the ones I have seen who have come had a wonderful time.  Piper Laurie certaintly did last year!  She was incredible.  What an amazing lady!

I felt sorry for James Marshall...he was sick the first time he came, and had to bow out the next time because he was so sick.  I hope we wants to come back sometime.  Great fellow.

Did I leave out Richard in my post?     He is truly my favorite celebrity guest and we must get him back for the last blow-out Festival.  Ricky and his camera!

Would it annoy Richard if I asked him questions about Andy Kaufman the entire time?

12, I love it when Richard comes up to you at the ticket booth and is asking you about the film for the evening.  "A David Lunch film?  Is this a feel good summer comedy?"  He seems like he has alot of interaction with the fans.

For those who haven't seen Beymer's festival movie, it is up on his myspace page.  He also has all his Twin Peaks photos on there.

Richard was a hoot and holler for sure. I wished he could have been there last year with Piper. Can you imagine that?
