Hello,

I am new to the forum, I have lurked a bit over the past 2 weeks, but thought it was time to make myself seen!

Im so happy to have a place to talk Peaks    No-one I know is really into it , although my other half watches the odd episode.   I have gone off the idea of trying to convert him, though, as he asks too many questions i.e

Him: "Who is the little guy"

Me:"Thats the Man from Another Place"

Him:"Who is he?"

Me:"He is a spirit of the Black Lodge and also I think he is Gerrard / Mike's arm" "

Him: "What do you mean? Arm? Why is he dancing?"

Me:"OMG, just shut the f... up, Im trying to watch it!!!"

So, I will come here and get my TP fix instead!

Think I will do a bit more reading before posting anything, but just wanted to say Hi x

Welcome!

I think most of us have had an experience similar to yours. I personally have given up trying to convert people into TP fans. And I learned to never, ever mention the Little Man/Mike's Arm thing to newbies.

I look forward to seeing you around!

Welcome aboard, LetsRock75!

Ben:  "We've laid in a gala reception for your fair-haired boys tonight.  All of Twin Peaks' best and brightest."

Jerry: "We're holding it in a phone booth?"

Well, it seems to be the most intelligent, amusing, eclectic, and active forum that I've run across.  I found the group last fall, and have been checking in daily ever since.  Bravo! to the mods  and "all y'all"  (I hear lots of this in FL)

Welcome to the board!

I also know how frustrating it is trying to introduce people to TP. After the second time my fiancé said "That would never happen....." during the Pilot, i just thought "F*ck it, i'll put Friends on shall i?".

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone.

Is this an American forum, mostly?   Im from the UK.   I was just reading about the Twin Peaks festival, we are saving up to get married, do the house up etc but one day...when I eventually have some spare money...I'm going! I would love to stand in the places TP was filmed in, breathe the air... x

I hope you can make it to a fest someday, it's fantastic meeting everyone from the board and others who come.  And as for standing in the places where Peaks was filmed, it's simply mind bending. At least that's how I felt. LOL  We took the bus tour to the shows filming sites and when we pulled up to the hotel I was just like, "Are we really HERE??? Is this real??" :)  Heard the falls and literally ran to them.  Standing on the steps of the station...being in the diner...electric, indeed. :) And breathing the air...the trees alone will solidify that request. :) Coop nailed it on the head..."Smell those trees! Smell those Douglas Firs!" They are indeed breathtaking.
