gonna have to disagree: i have heard of a logic that a food critic orders something stupidly simple as opposed to the generally expected elaborate nonsense; to see if the restaurant fuck up something that's dead simple

on a side note of hank, i sweat and squirm and cringe at the scene with 'johnathon' in the diner...hank's 'kick ass' moves, John's sunglasses in the dark...his sneaking in inexplicably just to produce dramatic effect...it's a hint of the awkward clunkiness later in the series

i'm sure someone out there thinks it's "ironic" or something but they really dropped the ball with hank in the 2nd season. i'm going to go ahead and say he fared the worst of all. there was a time he was a very interesting and dangerous man.

When they were giving Harry hangover tips, they could have just called Vivian up and had her regurge more breakfast food onto her plate in front of him.

No wonder Annie slit her wrists. Family dinners must have been traumatic at the Blackburn house.

i agree Nef; i was a big fan of Hank in season one..heck even in ep 8 too...i mean, he got beat up by nadine...(i don't mean that in a sexist way or whatnot, it's simply a ridiculous scene)

It's odd to think that NORMA! NORMA! is his last appearance

Annie is the original Emo Chick- oh mannn a boy hurrttt me maaan...you don't understaaand...i won't always make sense, or do things that you expect, cus ah'm soo alternative and edgy wowww

actually i thought that scene was fine, norma beating him up wouldn't have worked if he wasn't built up as a legitimate threat. every moment after that, though....

The meaning of the domino is extremely complicated and will be explained by referring to this essay by Jacques Derrida...

further arbitary signs and symbols that hint at the possibility of meaning something, but don't....or a visual leitmotiff for Hank.

who determines once and for all that it, and all of the show, means nothing

Aah,aren't you all a funny bunch?  It just seemed so important, drawings, Hank is sucking on it at the end of his phone conversations.

I am dismayed that MT wentz proposed ruining perfectly good morrell mushrooms by putting them in an omlet.  The only way to eat them is fried.

A popular theory was that the number in Hank's domino was the people he killed... Nice, but I believe there are some problems, the numbers don't match... I don't remember the details, but it had something to do with the fact that he thinks he killed Leo when he didn't...I don't know...

Mulkey said at the Fest that it didn't mean anything. If I recall, it was a prop he came across and thought it would be cool and mysterious to use, a la David. He was amused that we noticed and were still bothered by it.

I concur.  I've never come across enough Morrells to consider doing anything but fry them.

The scene in general smacks of mom being a bitch.  She didn't have the damn thing in her mouth long enough to tell if she really liked it or not. The only reason for spitting something out that quick is ground glass.  That or being a five year old.

The ultimate Twin Peaks memorabilia would have been if the piece of omelette she spit out was saved after the filming of the episode.  I would have consumed it and never gone to the bathroom again, thus becoming a piece of TP memorabilia myself and I could be sold on Ebay for $34.27 and be placed in the ultimate fan collection somewhere in Des Moines.

"Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it, don't wait for it, just let it happen. Could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot, black coffee. Like this."  -Dale Cooper

i tried this but it turns out your body replaces every non-nerve cell in your body every 90 days or so, so you only get about 3 months of being awesome
