There is a scene in the first season of tein peaks. I think it might be episode 5 or 6. Leland is losing it while in the great Northern hotel in front of some norwegiean/ swedish? guests and ben asks Catherne to dance with him. She then starts to imitate him while he proceeds to break down putting his hands to his head. Catherine turns it into a dance move of sorts, lol. its briliant. Anyway, does anyone know what the tune playing is?

It sounds like an old big band number or something. I have never been able to identify it.

P.S. The scene is actually on youtube. Its listed under twin peaks dance

6-5000 is the one from the Palmer house. I'm sure it's a Glenn Miller tune that plays in the Great Northern scene, as well, and I don't know the name of it.

Gordon knows these things. Where's he at?

It's the upbeat one that goes:

Do-do, do-do, do-do-do, .... doo dee doo!

I'm pretty sure it's "In the Mood".

Def. not In the Mood. That's the opening number after the credits in Wild at Heart. Totally different intro, but same key.

Gordon is here...but he doesn't know a goddamn thing about that tune...

Well, yes, sorta... I agree that it's not Miller's "In the Mood", but the thing is in glastonberrygrove.net it's called "In the Mood" in the jukebox... Maybe Badalamenti created his own "In the Mood" or it's a very, VERY different version of the one from Miller...

Was wondering that m'self. Which would be odd. There should not have been a legal issue, since Miller's music is in the public domain, and they use 6-5000.

However, "Hayward's Boogie" on the Season 2 soundtrack is a tweaked rendering of Miller's "Boogie Woogie." So anything is possible.

It's interesting that both times this tune was used it was actually in scenes that seem to be funny but are actually very sad... In the scene mentioned here and in ep.3 when nobody wants to dance with Leland and Hawk and Coop take him home...

I've been trying to find out what song this is for years now - In the episode where Leland/BOB is dancing with Donna in his living room there is a song (instrumental) playing. Just as he's about to attack her the doorbell rings - it's Coop and Harry telling Leland they need his help - another murder was committed (Maddy's).

DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHAT SONG IS PLAYING IN THAT SCENE ????

It is available on Glastonberry Grove jukebox as Old Tune : http://www.glastonberrygrove.net/jukebox/

As for what song it is, I have no idea.

Recently I was surprised to hear that song in the spanish film LAS 13 ROSAS, which is set in the spanish civil war... Until then I would have swore it was Badalamenti's...

On the archive of cues, Mr. B call out the names of them (so says my authoritative source.) Glad to be of assistance!

Who can tell something about following music?

- Icelandic songs (at least 4 in the series)

- Opera song (Briggs's family dinner / Police at Wallie's)
