You're so right. It was like he was written so that he could easily transition into a spin-off where he visits another one horse town on the circuit every week. I can almost hear the theme song.

eh even if there've been 3 threads total now that's still like 87 less than the number of "omg was that molly shannon?!!" threads

edit: what i'm trying to say is that it was a pretty bad character they tried WAY too hard on.

I loved Judge Sternwood and believe he should be knighted.

Why did you go on a sabbatical?

"Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it, don't wait for it, just let it happen. Could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot, black coffee. Like this."  -Dale Cooper

I feel like that sometimes (you probably can't tell LOLZ), but something about this place keeps bringing me back like a bad habit.

I loved Sternwood, that old alcoholic!

Ben:  "We've laid in a gala reception for your fair-haired boys tonight.  All of Twin Peaks' best and brightest."

Jerry: "We're holding it in a phone booth?"

It is funny how Twin Peaks is dissected, often times stuff that isn't even really there.  Another character that gets no mention from the board is Malcolm, Evelyn's "brother".  I want to see three page thread character breakdowns of Malcolm!!!

Fuck Molly Shannon. I still think Surveillance would be a lot better without Cheri Oteri, too. Will Ferrell has made me 100% less forgivable of the shite SNL cast from after I was a kiddie.

Aaaaanyway... I want Sternwood to be my Grandpa and local judge. He's the kind of guy you can kick back shots, talk politics, and talk about poontang with.

He could have been a Miss TP judge and nailed Lana.

I always love reading your posts, Angel.  It's like getting 5 posts for the price of one.  They are always evolving and changing.  I can't scroll past one of them more than twice and not notice something edited.  You just give and give and give and we would all like to thank you.

Was this character's name picked using the Flintstone method?

It's a compulsion, from my vocation, much like your compulsion to re-read them.

I'm surprised there aren't more *blank*woods in Twin Peaks.

Didn't the Old Judge have a young banging assistant with him?  Can't believe the testosterone on this board hasn't commented on her yet....

Her name was Sid, I think, and personally I never got what Coop and Harry were going gaga about. She ain't that hot...

"What? Did your life pass before your eyes? Cuppa tea, cuppa tea, almost got shagged, cuppa tea..."

C'mon, you know how horny everyone in Twin Peaks were.  Even Squiggy was hittin' on the Log Lady.  Must be something in the pie......uh..so to speak.

It's not polite to drool.  I could see how boys that are interested in girls might not find Sid that attractive but for the men around here... (Ah, settle down guys, imjuzfugginwidya)

Nah, it's all down to personal preference.  I like Sids looks plenty fine but what really does it for me it is the disdain that comes off her in waves.  Smart, confident women who've had to put up plenty of boys BS in their time often have that look down, the one that says 'down dog' and 'why do I have to put up with these idiots' at the same time. The actress pegged it but good.  I've always been a sucker for that look.

It's also the look that says "I'm just fucking the old codger for his money, so unless any of you are a sugar daddy with one foot in the grave, step off."
