I'm not afraid of too much, but I am afraid of Clowns - thanks to IT and Poltergeist. I often imagine one under my bed as I pull up the dust ruffle. Snakes- it just seems like whichever way you move to get away, the darn thing will have already bitten you and could be poisonous. Sharks - duh. Rows of a gazillion teeth, Jaws. Lurking in deep water underneath you unseen. Not to mention you would be eaten. In fiction, I used to be afraid of BOB when I was a kid or at least I used to have nightmares and visions about him.

I am also afraid of clowns, thanks to the circus when I was little. I went to the Ohio Reformatory for the haunted house, not knowing they had people dressed up as clowns, and I ended up punching one of the employees because they scared me.
Spiders scare the piss out of me. The teeny tiny ones don't bug me too much but when I can see the legs defined, I freak out! I can't even think about it.
Blood - mostly my own. I have been known to pass out when getting bloodwork done.
Given this, I still enjoy a gory horror flick which includes these elements...I know, I am odd...

Birds and chickens and geese especially. I was attacked by my grandma's mean old rooster a few times. Geese will run you down and bite you on the ass. Snakes freak me out too. Enclosed spaces.

Being forced to play video games and smoke large amounts of pot in the comfort of my own home. (I read 1984!) Seriously, demophobia, which is not the feer of democracy (if only!) but rather the fear of crowds.

Dogs, ever since I can remember. I've gotten chased by strange Rotweillers on two different occasions, which didn't help matters. Not too crazy about spiders, myself.

Coolspringsj ? I know that people are afraid of you and the rumour that coolspringsj raped and murdered a girl in 1998. Now, as far as I'm concerned the story that coolspringsj raped and murdered a girl in 1998, is just an unproven, unprosecuted rumour. I for one reject the rumour that coolsprings j raped and murdered a girl in 1998. And in conclusion j, I'm not afraid of the story that coolspringsj raped and murdered a girl in 1998.

Spiders don't scare me because you can step on them.

We have nothing to fear but fear itself. I never got the scared of spiders thing either unless it's a brown recluse or something. I like spiders because they eat bugs. Ew cockroaches give me the willies. But I think they do that to everyone. The flying ones they have in Florida are the worst.

Daddy long legs don't bother me, but this could be because I used to pull the legs off them when I was little.... We used to live in the country and there were these creepy spiders out there. One day my dad told me to go get something from over by the propane tank. He knew there was this HUGE black spider with yellow (garden spider, they get huge and are harmless but nonetheless) and it freaked me out. They always creeped me out but after taht I became physically terrified of them. I stop breathing if one crawls on me. Yes I know the statistics of how many we eat in our sleep...

Damn, I hate bugs!! If I see one in my house, I swear I'm itching all day! The only thing I'm really afraid of is Rosie O'Donnell.
Ben: "We've laid in a gala reception for your fair-haired boys tonight. All of Twin Peaks' best and brightest." Jerry: "We're holding it in a phone booth?"

Seriously though, my biggest fear is to be old and disabled and alone and have no one to take care of me because I never bothered to get married and have kids that will look after me. I don't want to be the sad old lady on the bus. I am also afraid of developing a severe mental illness as many people in my family have.

Well, what I'm really afraid of is to get old and regret that I haven't done things... you know like feel you missed a lot of opportunities and stuff... That's what really freaks me out these days. That I have to make the right decisions to not feel like I missed stuff later... Anyone feeling this way too?

Yes that getting old thing is scary. I am sure more so for me being a er mature guy. I am glad for everything i did do in my life and don't have those kinds of regrets. Now, what gets to me is how fast the years are rolling by. That " That's so nineties" will soon be " That's so millenium " The expression about time flies when your having fun should just be time flies period. My theory ( now hold on, ole Raymond has not gone 'round the bend) is that time IS actually going faster. Yes, not the sense of time , but universal time itself. I'm working on my "Acceleration" equation this weekend ; )

I'm truly afraid of not having a job come Fall, but I'm more afraid of a soul-crushing, mind/ass softening life sentence in corporate servitude that sucks my day hours away and makes me want to climb a clock tower, if you know what I'm saying.

I like spiders (and snakes, but that ain't what it takes...) except the time I bent over to look at something, put my face through a web I didn't see and had about thirty little baby ones crawling on me. Wasn't so found of that.

I'm a bit weird with my fears. I am terrified of The Grudge. I tend to burst spontaniously into tears when I hear the noise and I once threw a hardcover at one of my coworkers because they snuck up on me while I was shelving and made the noise. I'm also afraid of bees, hornets, wasps, and pretty much anything that flies and bites you. Summer in washington is a huge problem for me. I tend to spend the days inside and then go out in the evening. My sister is really mean and tries to convince me that Night Bees exist. You can ask Amanda or Jared. They've seen me freak out and run away from bees during the fest. Lastly, Yarn. It's not really a fear. It's more like a severe aversion to it. I can't touch the stuff without being wigged out. I love knitted sweaters and hats, but I can't stand the raw evil of the ball of yarn. It wiggs me out.
