Cecil B. Demented is my favorite John Waters movie hands down. Maggie Gyllenhaal as a Satanic makeup artist, and Alicia Witt as a porn star really make it- what awesome casting! The DP even has D-A-V-I-D L-Y-N-C-H tattooed on his knuckles.

 First off, I agree with you on Crispin.  I will watch anything he is in. I think he's brilliant.

Thanks for the tip on Cecil B. Demented.  I've heard of it, but never saw it.  Now I have to see it - sounds like awesome casting.  Water's films for me, were always hit or miss.  I'm one of the few people I know who liked Cry-Baby.  I guess some people just didn't get the joke.

John Waters never did it for me as a filmmaker. Oddly enough, though, I find him immensely likable and entertaining as an interviewee. I could listen to him all day.
