For those in Seattle, come check out a special run of Blue Velvet, at the Central Cinema (one of my fave venues. Food & drink available!!!) from Friday March 27 to Thurs. April 2 (7 & 10 p.m.). The 10 show on opening night is FREE (usually $6), there's a band (Diminished Men), Lynch trivia contest, & PBR tallboys for $2.50. I'll be there!!! RAYMOND!!! PAUL!!!! JOYRIDE!!!!!!

What do you think PBR stands for? Pound it Before you Ralph. (For those not 'in the know' ralph is one of the 742 accepted synonyms for alcohol induced vomiting.) Regarding the event itself, once again I must prove how uterly punk I am by saying, can't make it, too late. But Feel no shame if you aim to play the lame blame game For I will affirm and I will proclaim; It is I, I am lame no, really, I'm so lame... How lame are you? I'm so lame Tiny Tim feels sorry for me. That having been firmly established, and I trust it has been, I might could make a 7p showing on Sat, Sun or Mon but they sound significantly less fun and slightly more expensive.

Well, I didn't get to bed until about 2 a.m. & then had to work at 9:30, but had a GREAT TIME!!! Handed out a load of fest handbills, sucked down some PBRs, dug the 45 minute (or so) instrumental performance by surf-noir band The Diminished Men (bought their CD), then took the 30 question David Lynch trivia contest. Many questions were ridiculously easy, & some were Josh hard (Hank's prison #?!), but after the film I was announced as the #1 winner, with 23 correct answers!!! Got a PBR shirt, 2 rentals at Scarecrow, & DVDs (Dumbland, 7 Year Zig Zag, & Eraserhead). Yes, the joint was packed & I noticed new details & insights. For instance, when Jeffrey does the Chicken Walk, he's innocently showing Sandy his cock!!! He also seems to heal very quickly (makeup gaffes). Wish more of my pals coulda made it....
