I was very disappointed that the Gold Box Edition of TP didn't include any of the original teasers that they aired at the end of every episode. I always thought they were brilliantly provocative and they usually weren't huge spoilers. They would normally consist of 3 or 4 still frames from the next episode, played for 5 seconds each with the dialogue changing for each still frame. Tell me there is someone here who knows what I'm talking about!!! I can still watch them on the VHS tapes I recorded the original episodes on, but I'd love to see them online. I've looked on youtube and a few other sites, but haven't found any. Does anyone have a link to any of those teasers? They really were awesome.

I have them on old VHS tapes as well. I also like to watch the commercials from 90-91. They were very cool and didn't give away anything.

I was a little disappointed as well, that the box set didn't include the teasers after the show or the "previously on ..." before the episodes. Being a TP fan though, I'm used to not getting all the things I want from Lynch!
Ben: "We've laid in a gala reception for your fair-haired boys tonight. All of Twin Peaks' best and brightest." Jerry: "We're holding it in a phone booth?"

Does anyone have a logical explanation as to why these weren't included on the Gold Box Set?

Wrong. There was an art to these still images with unrelated dialogue. They got the viewer excited about the following week and were completely misleading, yet made you try to decipher the images and dialogue that were presented. I remember a still shot of Harold peeking out of his blinds and I thought it was going to be BOB. This was before we actually saw Harold Smith.

I'm wondering if maybe the teasers are owned by ABC, even though they must have been produced by the TP production team, and CBS/Paramount couldn't get the rights to them.
The question is, Where have you gone?

I remember thos very well. They were always a lifeline to the following week.

Good point! That's disappointing, though. I remember them and still have them on my old VHS tapes too.
My dog barks some. Mentally you picture my dog, but I have not told you the type of dog which I have. Perhaps you even picture Toto, from "The Wizard of Oz." But I warn you, my dog is always with me. WOOF! http://thisoldjeep.21.forumer.com/

What would you rather: Newly created special features OR the "previously on" and "next on" segments. New stuff wins hands down for me. :) I think that's why they scrapped the idea of having the segments. That being said, as a completist, it'd be great if they were there. Someone a year ago made a DVD from their VHS tapes of all the previous and next segments. It was available via BitTorrent, but I'm not sure if it still is.

I remember those very well. Very expressionistic. I still break out my old blurry VHS tapes from time to time to see stuff like that and the old commercials. There's even news bulletins from the first Gulf War.
