What does the hand sign that Laura does in the waiting room mean in the last episode? Does anyone know? That is a key point to movie's after-end understanding maybe? If anyone knows the meaning of this pls post it here, I will explain what I mean afterwards.

Stardust has posted a very comprehensive explanation in one of his Black Lodge Encyclopedia entries.

Yes thanks, I'd found it. To me, not all things in the movie that suggest interpretation have actually been meant by the directs to bear any meaning(stated by some of the directors). So another challenge in Twin Peaks is to find the signs among the signs, to say so. 1. Sign - Don't doubt its interprettion. 2. Sign - Definitely I think, has nothing to do with the good-luck sign. It is just a normal position fingers to end up in after a snap, it is the other way round to be crossed in order to mean good-luck, the may not be crossed at all just the index finger a bit before the other(sth like the walk sign) and the sign itself totally looks like a separate sign bearing some sort of meaning... of course I assume it may just be a refference to FWWM and the sign just havin a sexual content and included in the last episode just with no real other intention. 3. Sign - this one is the interesting one. I totally think it has a specific Sign-language meaning(don't know any sign languages though :/ ). She says - See you again in 25 years. So in 25-years time Cooper will be again there, that is for sure what can be concluded.(Interesting question is How does she know that? but this is another direction of lots of more suggestions) In the meanwhile ... THE SIGN... it is either a wish or another prediction what will be happening in the next 25 years. Not being sure about the interpretation on http://www.2000revue.com/community/topic.cfm?topicid=4168 it makes sense if it really means Be Brave. It's regarding it's stay in the black lodge or is regarding the whole 25 years ahead suggesting battle of mind between Cooper and BOB from then on. If anyone knows this signs undesputed meaning would be interesting to hear :) Btw I guess there is no evidens of Lynch castin light on any of TP's meanings, right? p.s. Hi there Rainbow :) thanks for the welcoming.
