LOS ANGELES, Oct. 14 (UPI) -- Blake Lively's father was hospitalized following a serious car accident in Los Angeles, the television actress's mother told Usmagazine.com. Actor Ernie Lively's car reportedly plummeted down an embankment Monday, sending him to the hospital with back and lung injuries. "He's going to make a full recovery, thankfully," Blake's actress mother Elaine, told Usmagazine.com. "It was a horrific accident. He was on his way to the set of 'Criminal Minds,' and he swerved to miss a car, and his car tumbled down an embankment. Blake is here, the whole family is here, and yesterday it didn't look good. But thankfully, now we have been told he is going to make a full recovery. It's all been taken care of." Lively "suffered back injuries, and also his lungs," Elaine Lively said. "But it is far less serious than we thought yesterday. We do not know when he will be out of hospital. We are just happy he is going to be OK." Ernie Lively is also the step-father of Jason Lively from "National Lampoon (AMEX:NLN)'s European Vacation" and Robyn Lively of "Teen Witch" fame.
