I'm boring.  For years I just put on devil horns.  This year will be devil horns and a red latex minidress- if I don't have homework :(

This is the first time in many years that I've been invited to a Halloween party, so I've been wracking my brain trying to come up with a good costume. And coming up empty-handed. Dressing up as Frank is always my pipe dream, but the costume is only really availble from eBay and it's a bit pricey for just a one-time-wear. So as of right now, I'm at a loss. If worse comes to worst, I may just dress up as a fucking pirate.

I'm lazy, always dress as a werewolf. The only time you have to do anything is when the full moon lands on the day and if it does I'm pretty hairy already.  If anyone gives you shit ya just bite 'em.

I know my costume will be embarrassingly ubiquitous this year, but damnit...

Though once again, the facial hair will screw up the look a bit. I'll end up pulling a Casear Romero.

I'll be dragging out my old standby, Cherry Bomb. Why mess with the classics? Lust from the women, respect from the mens... Seriously, I'm playing Jack Bauer in our Halloween show this year, so I may go out as Kiefer Sutherland's most famous character (after Sam Stanley, of course).

Ok, I am going to this big party and need a kick ass costume.  I am going as the Log Lady.  Yes, I am... We just had a HUGE wind storm come through here so we have tons of logs for me to choose from.  If anyone besides the people I am with knows what my costume is, I will be impressed.

My friends are going as Samuel L. Jackson and Christina Ricci from Black Snake Moan.  Now that should be interesting!

Not the most original, but probably Magnum P.I.  All I really need to do is find a pair of shorts I barely fit into anymore, shave my beard down to a mustache, and unbutton my shirt.  This will also be an excuse for me not to get a haircut until halloween.

I'm also sporting a goatee, which I might just temporarily dye green. It will at least set me apart from the 20-per-party Jokers running around. I have the excuse of going to see TDK on Halloween night on my side, too.

In an extra dose of coinciding with trends, I'm already thinking ahead to next year--

I actually got invited to a halloween shin dig the week before halloween and then I am going to hit the bars with a vengence on halloween. So, I'm thinking about either getting a better Robin costume, or getting my Enterprise costume tailored to actually fit. I still haven't figured out which will be more expensive.

I always thought Gunwitch from the Nocturnals would be a great comic book themed costume if one was willing to invest the time and money.

J, my rule about wearing clothes for guys is if they pick it out, they buy it.  Good choice, though, if you live in the right climate for it.

Halloween is the one time of year regular girls can walk around practically naked and get away with it.  Once a week or more I dress like I'm going to a hooker's funeral, anyway. I guess that's why goths call it Amateur Night.

Devil costume is out since I spaced on buying horns, I do have that angel costume I bought last year and never wore...

Drop me a note, Rebs. I'll hook you up.

Tonight was awesome. I had recorded the holy grail theme on my DVR and bribed my brother to be my "horse" and so I made my grand entrance to the party with my music blaring and my horse clip-clopping away behind me. And...only four people actually knew who I was right away. The rest took a bit of explaining. One person actually required us to put the DVD on and point it out to them. OH well. :) I have pix to share. Need to recharge my battery and sober up a bit before I can do that though.

Hope everyone else's Halloween went well! It's been pouring rain here since around 4pm so I imagine trick-or-treat attendance was extremely low this year. Such a bummer. That has always been my most favorite part of Halloween. Sometimes you see the most amazing costumes...

I bought a skeleton hoodie last week. The hood zips right over and down to meet the ACTUAL zip so it's a full on skeleton (waist up anyway). It looks proper freaky, and i'm looking forward to scaring the shit out of some trick or treaters.

We don't celebrate Halloween anywhere NEAR as much here in the UK. I for one love it, but it's hard to get enthusiastic when pretty much everyone treats it as just another day.
