 Hello,

I'm Emmanuel Papillon, the web designer of the "Black Lodge - a Web Homage to David Lynch", which is somehow a virtual Lynch world.

I'm happy to tell you a new part has been added to the site :

  http://lynch.batbad.com/

The new part takes place in Twin Peaks, right after Cooper and Sherif Truman go look for Annie in Ghostwood. You can access it by browsing the TV channels, pushing the two buttons on the TV (the scene is when you see Cooper and Truman in the Sherif's truck) :

 http://lynch.batbad.com/salon.html

Here is a direct access to the zoom on the TV :

 http://lynch.batbad.com/gate_last_episode/index.html

The part takes place into Ghostwood, where you look for Cooper and the gate to the Black Lodge. You'll meet Sherif Truman, and maybe Andy (with dialogue), with music from the last episode.

I hope you'll like that update. Thanks to the same DVD (and the DVD of Fire Walk with Me and the first Red Room scene in the series), I'm currently working to totally reshape and redo the Red Room scenes, which are very low quality right now (they're taken from Internet pictures from the last episode VHS). I'm quite pleased at the first results.

This should take a while since the Red Room scenes are central to my web site, and I want to put as much care as I can into them. You can however see an example here :

Old Black Lodge hall : http://lynch.batbad.com/black_lodge/index.html

New Black Lodge hall : http://lynch.batbad.com/black_lodge/new.html

Not only it'll be more visually pleasing, but a lot more will happen in there.

I hope people will like it,

 E. Papillon

I have been waiting for this update for a long time, sir. Your Black Lodge site was one of my favorites during my first burst of obsession with the show. Can't wait to see the whole thing in action.

 Thanks.

The finished Red Room/Lodge should be quite something, I hope (much better than the current blurry mess anyway).

I also finally decided to also upgrate a thing or two out of the Red Room.

Just added sound to the X scene in the Eraserhead part :

I'm still not happy about the Jeffries scene, too.

New updates :

- You can now take a look at the picture above Henry's bed (Eraserhead).

- If you play too much with the lamp on the left with the switch, the bulb can blow up (doesn't work if the baby is sick and under his boiling thing, get out of the room and back again to reset that random element).

- New ambiant sound in the Blue Velvet part :

http://lynch.batbad.com/gate_blue_velvet/

- More can be seen in Dorothy Vallens's Apartment. More random elements, and mostly, there can be up to two "people" in the room (if you don't see anybody, same as above, refresh or go back one page to get back in the hall then back in again to randomize the thing). Also, a surprise can await you in the closet.

I've finished checking/updating the non-Twin Peaks parts. I'll now work on those to improve them, then after that work to totally update the Red Room.

It really evokes the tone and emotions of Twin Peaks, especially the woods part and the train car etc.

Thanks a lot !

I'm not entirely happy with Laura's death scene in the train car, though, and I'll try to improve a few things in it.

Here are the latest updates !

- You can subscribe to the newsletter again from the site core (fire button) :

http://lynch.batbad.com/core/

- More stuff at the Palmer house : you can now watch closely a framed picture on
the table on the left (with the napkin), the vinyl disc player you could click
on on the right is more obvious (it now has a disc on), and mostly, it can play
(it's random) :

o The music when Leland dances with Laura's picture
o Mairzy Doats (a song Leland sings, like the following)
o Get Happy (by Judy Garland)
o Getting to know you
o Surrey With The Fringe On Top

http://lynch.batbad.com/fwwm_palmers/index.html

- The Pink Room sequence is better explained and shorter, also, there is a new
group of popups (4) to see by clicking between the two stroboscopic areas on the
right.

I hope for new updates soon.

 Hello,

here are the lastest updates of the Black Lodge :

 http://lynch.batbad.com/

- The last episode scene (Ghostwood) now has cleaner music (straight from the
CD) and better navigation in the woods (the HTML is generated and not downloaded
anymore) :

 http://lynch.batbad.com/tp_ghostwood/last_episode/

- Navigation in Ghostwood the night Laura dies has also been improved, and the
death scene of Laura Palmer is now much better :

 http://lynch.batbad.com/tp_ghostwood/fwwm_last_night/train/

There is now only the Jeffries scene to update then I can work on the Red Room.

I hope for new updates soon.

 E. Papillon
