Yeah they kind of gave up on Holloway. I was thinking of starting a band called "The Natalie Holloway's."

First off concerning the sociopath aspect of Caylee. Not all sociopaths are killers, most are clever enough to avoid violent confrontations. This was most likely manslaughter. It was probably an accident. Any two-bit attorney will be able to avoid the death penalty. But still I wouldn't mind seeing the bitch burn.

Caylee is the dead tot. Casey the 'Tot Mom'. No dearth of murderous sociopaths.

Same brand of grocery bag and duct tape found with dead baby is also used in the Anthony house. And there were heart shaped stickers on the tape with the corpse. The same kind were ALSO found in the house.

And Casey pleads not guilty. What court is going to refute this evidence? Feel bad for Fla. taxpayers.

Send her to the chair!

I am gonna watch Nancy Grace tonite since some really new stuff is happening.

I heard Casey ,the Tot Mom, had left a diary behind with entries in late June (after the kid 'disapeared' ) that say things like ' I am really happy for the first time in a long time." and ' I did the right thing.'

Hi cool.... first my IE was out of action, and on Saturday my 6 plus year old PC died. I don't have my password from years ago for the TPG. Believe me these changes are not done on a lark.

He could call himself vrai monde, since that means real world (in French) and Raymond seems to be a "welcome to the real world" type.

They need to light Casey on fire and drop her on the interstate going 85 miles per hour.

I can't believe she's pleading not guilty. Has she not wasted enough of the world's time and energy?

The state is going for the death penalty. Hopefully Fla. will fry her like they did Aileen Wuornos.

The gov. will humanely put criminals to death, yet euthanasia is illegal.  What's wrong with this picture?

I've lost a lot of sleep over the treatment of murderers.

The 19th century conceptualization of imprisonment, whether in prison or a mental/medical "care" facility, is arguably the queerest invention in the world.

Animals that misbehave or are terminally ill either get a shot to the head or heart. It's as just and sympathetic as any natural law.

Keeping people alive for as long as possible under the pretense of civility is a logical fallacy, if there ever was one.

It's interesting that many people who seem to distrust the media on most issues are willing to convict and execute based on evidence from that same source.

"Since the death penalty was reinstated in the U.S. in 1976, 1,020 men and women have been executed, with more than one-third--362--put to death in Texas.

Although more than 100 people have been released from Death Row in the U.S. during that time, no government authority has concluded that an innocent person was executed.
" from the ChiTrib.

So my question to you is are you willing to accept an mistaken execution of yourself or someone you care about as the price for the death penalty?

PS for Fud; You must be loving the Amanda Knox circus, eh?  'She's white, she's cute, she's local.  SHE's INNOCENT!'  Anyway, CBS(?) said she was so it must be true. (For the sake of clarity, I'm not saying she is guilty.  I am saying that people seem to have the tendency to prejudge cases based on the appearance of the individual in question.)

i completely agree that the modern prison system is ridiculous, and based on nothing.

however, neither you nor i nor anyone else is wise enough or has a moral ground high enough to literally decide who lives and who dies. i mean there's cases like those somali pirates where a clear wrong is in progress and needs to be stopped, and then there's barbaric "steve hurt someone so steve should be hurt back" horseshit which is literally how children think and deal with problems.

i can't wait to see the intellectual gymnastics needed for pro-state-sponsored-murder/pro-vigilante justice individuals to justify this. i'm betting on "no mistakes have ever been made" with a side of "if you're truly innocent you have nothing to fear." though it's possible they'll just ignore the meat of the question and attack you for asking it, or just ignore the question outright.

bonus points for anyone who believes in a deity, and thinks they have a right to kill his children!

Mistakenly executed, or mistakenly sentenced to die in prison- what's the difference? Blame the crooked and misguided legal process, not the punishment. It's the most popular argument against the death penalty, but it doesn't hold much water. And like most liberal arguments, it's based on emotions and naive idealism.

There's no mental gymnastics necessary getting to the meat of that one: it's a risk worth taking, if we are to have ANY faith in the criminal justice system at all.

I've been following this story, too:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090414/ap_on_re_us/girl_in_suitcase

Clearly, Huckaby, the Cali. Sunday school teacher who raped and killed the girl that was missing and threw her body in a pond, is not right in the head.

Does that mean America should reach out and try to rehabilitate her because she's someone's child? Give her a private, safe room with cable and plenty of food for 30-60 years? Seriously. Fuck a bunch of that.
