This is the only show known to me that when you watch it, it makes you want whatever the characters are consuming.

"Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it, don't wait for it, just let it happen. Could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot, black coffee. Like this."  -Dale Cooper

I'm with you all the way on the huckleberry pie. When he goes on about how fresh the berries are, it makes me really want some, although like yourself i have no idea where i could get some.

Caffeine has the opposite effect on me than what it has on other people, so i always drink it in the evening before i hit the hay. And yes, i always have it black. Milk seems to ruin it. I drink tea all fecking day at work though. My bladder is in truly good working order these days (as it should be at 25 years of age).

This is pretty weird, but during the scene between Pete and Tojamura/Catherine at the Hotel, i always crave a glass of milk when he lifts his up. Milk is awesome. Not warm though. Ewww.

None whatsoever.
And "Damn fine coffee" is so worn out that it should be filed away with Monty Python quotes.

Sucks for you to feel that way!

EDIT- I'm not talking about a freakin' quote anyway - I'm talking about the food and drink in the TP 'verse and what reaction it causes in viewers and if anyone has any TP food/drink rituals when rewatching.

I like to indulge in a little blacker than midnight on a moonless night coffee when I have a TP viewing (although alcohol tends to win out more times than not). I forced myself to try cherry pie - the crust and filling were okay, but the cherries were tough to get down. Every time I see the Major Briggs scene at the RR and he is eating hucklebery pie and says "Compelling", it makes me want some, yet I have no idea where to even get huckleberry pie. I was just wondering what everyone's thoughts were on the food and drink in the TP universe and what kind of impact it has on YOU the viewer.
I have to agree with you, until the Leo Johnson spit up scenes..............................

I've been watching again and have gotten a great urge for doughnuts, which figures and also for sushi, which does not.

Fortunately or unfortunately (I want both but need neither) the only source for either is my local market and my desire is balanced out by my knowledge that they will be sub par.

No pie urge at all.

Typically inclement weather.

Cooper's breakfast looks tasty, but I never got the whole ordering multiple pieces of pie thing at the RR.

I also noticed the Sheriff's station either indulges in an ultra decadent quantity of donuts and have the collective metabolism of a bee or they are really poor at judging how many donuts to buy in ratio to number of employees that will partake in this revelry (the Donut Orgy, if you will).

I always get a kick out of Cooper's way of ordering breakfast....it's usually the way I order....well, minus the "freshly squeezed part".

Yeah, Lucy, Bless her Heart, seems to over-do the doughnut ordering, but it sure makes for a nice doughnut buffet....YUM!

The Sheriff's Department when planning their quarterly budget must have the inifinite symbol or the Owl Cave Ring symbol next to how much they are allowed to allocate toward donuts.

ive always been a fan of jerry's palate. smoked cheese pig sounds great, as does that head
(he never specifies what kind of animal, does he?) that is stuffed and rolled in oats etc.
for all of you that havent had huckleberry pie, you truly dont know what youre missing.
its a favorite of mine. far above cherry pie in my opinion.
huckleberries grow naturally in my area, so there is hardly a shortage.

Watching the binge eating/coffee drinking on the show is like watching guy-on-guy porn for me.  I think "That looks like fun... for other people."

The TP=Gay thread has really taken hold on everybody i reckon. You're mentioning gay porn, and Amanda was on about passing out in a pool of her own vomit in a gayclub in another thread.

I fear for us all.

LOL Hun, I'm a classic fag hag. Gay things are in my nature.

I'm kind of numb to most of the food in Twin Peaks these days, though I do have to admit that the smoked cheese pig gets me all hot-n-bothered every single time I see it. I am a whore for smoked cheeses, and so I watch that scene and I torment myself by saying "ohhh...I bet that's made of gouda. Ohhhhh smoked gouuuuuuudaaaaaaaaammmmmmmmmm *drool*"

Oh, no. I can scarf doughnuts with the best of them. (And baguette with brie and butter.) But I could easily become wider than I am tall, so this is an annual indulgence.  Can't do coffee, either.  A shot of espresso, maybe, but it hits me like moonshine.

No, preventing buns is the objective.  But I'm just going to pretend you didn't say that.

 ...

Every time Black Yukon Suckerpunches come up in these discussions, no one can make with the recipe from the Visual Soundtrack.   Anyone? Anyone?

Sign me up for the Black Yukon Suckerpunch too.  Those darn things look good and gave Judge Sternwood instant street cred.
