I have this weird format for Elephant Man that I doubt they even make the technology to play it on anymore. It's about the size of an album cover & I think was developed somewhere between videotapes & the laser disc. Anyone know what the hell this thing is?!

Is it like a primitive laser disc in a 12" hard plastic shell with the artwork on a huge sticker? It's most likely a videodisc. It was a horrible format from the early 80s that never took off. You had to slide the whole thing into the player, pull the outer case out leaving the disc inside, and turn it over half way through. They were like records and used to stick. We had one when I was a kid. I had Spiderman and the Muppets Take Manhattan.

I ran from the noise and the silence, from the traffic on the streets

You could maybe try putting it on Ebay? I've just checked and there are a few listed. I've never met another person who even owned a videodisc player, but the picture quality was appalling!

What is the Twin Peaks Visual Soundtrack?  I've seen it mentioned on this thread.

EDIT - Never mind.  I read about it in WIP 13 last night.

"Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it, don't wait for it, just let it happen. Could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot, black coffee. Like this."  -Dale Cooper

DVD: Gold Box, Blue Velvet, Mulholland Drive

VHS: FWWM, On the Air, Wild at Heart, (plus a Lynch bio with a title that escapes me right now)

Soundtrack CDs: TP1, TP2, FWWM, Eraserhead, Lost Highway, Mulholland Drive, Inland Empire

CDs: (Julee Cruise) Floating into the Night, The Voice of Love

Audio: Catching the Big Fish (CD audio book), "Diane..."

Books: Secret Diary, My Life My Tapes, TP Access Guide, Images

That's all I can think of right now.

The question is, Where have you gone?

Twin Peaks Gold Set.  I had the Twin Peaks Season Two, but sold it after I got the Gold Set.
