I was estatic to see that Twin Peaks is being aired again here in Denmark every friday night on Tv2 Zulu.

So I have started watching it again and really enjoy it. When I watch my dvds I don´t switch on the subtitles but when it´s on tv of course there are subtitles. So I noticed something new because of those subtitles.

Remember Bobby in eps 1 saying "I don´know Mike, maybe we could sell lightbulbs door to door!"? Sure you do. Then later, what I noticed for the first time, is Major Briggs in the RR saying "Remind me to buy some lightbulbs".
I´ve never noticed this before because he doesn´t say it very loud.

I just think it´s a nice little detail that I wanted to share. I´m a sucker for details so please share!!! Have you noticed something similar?

That's the reason why I created the "Did you notice" threads...

Yeah, I guess you are right, Gordon. I´m just not into long (updated) lists and deviding things into episodes. No offence, G. I think you´re doing a great job with those threads!!! It´s just not my thing. I´m not into finding flaws either.

I prefer to read different stuff that people here has noticed. Different posts instead an updated list.

In the United States, one thing that Boy Scouts do to raise money (or, at least they used to) is sell light bulbs door-to-door. Lynch, of course, was a Boy Scout (in fact an Eagle Scout, the highest level in scouting). Bobby, hardly a Boy Scout, was being ironic.

The question is, Where have you gone?

Aha! Thanks for the info, Ivan.

Btw, I was wrong. It was Doc Hayward who said he needed to buy some. Sorry.

Now that you mention it, Ditte, there are certainly little details that could be difficult to include in that list... Trends, patterns, impressions, etc. I noticed the "lightbulbs" lines you mentioned, for example and while right now I only remember Ben saying that I have the impression that the line "signed, sealed AND delivered" (with a dramatic pause right before the AND) has been said many times by different characters...

One thing is to notice that in whatever episode Mrs. Briggs wears a smiley in her jacket, but there's obviously much more...

i thought she only wore that to the funeral?(it is on prominent display when she interrupts the major and bobby having one of their many father and son moments). did the button make other appearances?

Doesn't Doc Hayward mention the lightbulbs right after Audrey walks in the RR? I think it's a running gag, picking up where "freshly squeezed" left off.

I believe so. The 'detail' that sticks with me is the blue boom mike in a scene between Ben and Audrey sometime before the 'Appomattox Scenario'.

 P.S. Nice avatar, PopolVuh!

As some have mentioned in earlier posts, the habitants of the black lodge somehow travel through electricity. Maybe the recent high activity of these creatures has caused lots of failuers in the electric systems around Twin Peaks, and generally in the homes of Twin Peaks' population.

Just a thought...

Uuh, I like that thought. Even though I don´t think Lynch came up with the electricity stuff till later, I´ll buy it anyway.
