One of my favourite scenes... Towards the end of the series Ben and Audrey Horne having a discussion in Ben's office. After discussion Audrey runs out of the office and (cue intense music) Ben turns around to see... That's it. Gives me that feeling I had for the first 13 episodes. N.B. Found some great info from another member who had discussed this with Richard Beymer at Twin Peaks Fest where he mentioned he wasn't told who was there or what he saw. I thought that was great to hear. Anyways, favourite scenes. Please let me know.
"Great. Maybe after the square dance we can all take a hay-ride."

Leland's confession in episode 11. "Every cell screams." Sarah's crying in the pilot - "absolute loss", indeed. Random funny scene: Pete intoning "Goodbye, you sweet, sweet Packards" in episode 23. I love all of Jack Nance's senes. Another favourite: Josie: "How did the shift go, Pete?" Pete: "Oh, cut some wood, made some lumber..." Not to mention "two by fours... four by eights..."
"What credit card do you want to put that on?" "Caash, prease."

The nightmare-inducing final few minutes of the Season 2 two hour premiere showing BOB kill Laura. Back when it orginally aired, I don't why but I likened watching this scene to a roller coaster ride and had to "prepare" myself mentally before watching it. Brutal, brutal scene.
"Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it, don't wait for it, just let it happen. Could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot, black coffee. Like this." -Dale Cooper

One of my favorite scenes is in the episode after Leland dies; when Cooper, Hawk, Albert, and Harry are walking in the forest (or wherever, not sure where it is exactly); the way they're lined up and it is slowed down, I like that scene a lot.

A scene that I think is positively genius is when Audrey spies on Jenny and Battis. What makes it brilliant is that the director allows her to smoke in the scene -from her hiding place. I read one criticism once that called out that scene specifically because it was unrealistic, and all I could think was, "why do you watch this show?!" That touch of her smoking was so perfect. It was saying Audrey is smarter than those two and is invincable. They could have put her lying across the desk and not get caught and I would have bought it. It made the set-up of her getting in over her head all the better. She's always able to get away with things like this up until she meets Blackie and Renault. I also love the quick look of satisfaction she gives after she tells the stockboy, "There's a real bad accident out front -it sounded like a bus or something." And the milisecond pause Fenn gives to Donna in the bathroom after Donna replies, "Isn't that that Western with Marlon Brando?" In a flash, she conveys boredom and lack of imagination with the Donna character before she proceeds, "it's a place up North."

Oddly enough, my favorite scene is in the pilot, where the bell rings and that kid shuts his locker and dances off screen. What is THAT about??

This is one of many threads on this topic, but it's always great to resurrect because different ones come to mind each time i think about it. One that sprang up immediately is the scene in the pilot when the principal is giving his announcement as the shot moves slowly down the dead empty corridor. To this day that scene makes me shiver a little.

Not really breaking new ground here: Maddy murder scene. The black lodge/red room sequence in the final episode. For me, if you take those two scenes out, the series loses a few points on the overall scale.
