We've got some great and unfortunately cryptic news about this years movie night at the Seattle Art Museum. As some of you know, initially the movie for this year's fest was supposed to be The Elephant Man. As of May 6th, the film will has changed, but you definitely won't be upset with the replacement film though.

As David Lynch would say, "I love the mystery of life."

We're not trying to be mysterious, but we must honor the producers' wishes and NOT announce the title of this year's very special film presentation. Rest assured that this brand new, 35mm, 2008 feature film is in the Lynch tradition of small towns full of secrets where menace lurks, but there's also a strange, giddy feeling in the air, and the true nature of reality is in question.

This psychological thriller accompanies the quest of an FBI agent tracking a serial killer in the midwest flatlands. The lawman's investigation is aided by three potential victims, each with a wildly different story to tell.

The film's director, whether on video or in person, will be present at the screening. As usual, we'll have rare film/video supplements and special festival guests in attendance.

The whole event will take place on Friday, the first day of the fest, and will be a three-hour program.

I think not telling the title is a dumb move on their part. It was easy for me to guess, and now what?

Well it was the producers wishes, so we play by the rules, or we don't get the movie.

Oh, I don't blame you, of course, "on their part" referred to the producers.

LOL Yeah, it IS odd. Maybe they're hoping the secrecy will unleash some viral ad campaign for them?
