OK, I just had to post this because it gets me EVERY time I see it..... there's this commercial for a wireless service, Verizon, I think, that starts out with a huge close-up of a man's face and the camera proceeds to pull back as he walks out of his house, joined by family and neighbors as he talks about his need for reliable wireless coverage. I swear to God the actor playing the man is the same guy who played Jacques. Has anyone else seen this ad? It drives me nuts whenever it comes on, and I always yell to him, "Bite the bullet, bay-beeee, bite the bullllllet!" Kelli

He's done a lot of commercials over the past two decades, a lot of TV parts. My favorite is the cable guy that Krammer battles in Seinfeld.

Kelli I know the ad your talking about and it's not him. Walter has knee problems and is basically crutch/wheelchair bound. |

Aside from Twin Peaks, I think I loved Walter Olkewicz best when he played Dougie on Grace Under Fire.

Are you sure it's him though? From what I recall, Walter has been wheelchair bound for a few years now. He hasn't really acted in anything since 2002. His son Zach dropped out of High School to be a full-time caregiver to Walter. As the story goes (and according to IMDB), Zach studied for the GED test and scored a perfect 4,000 on the test. He was the only person of 569,000 people who took the the test in California to accomplish this. He was only one of six in the nation as well. Zach was recently honored at a ceremony and received a three minute standing ovation.

OK, so it looks like it isn't him. The resemblance is uncanny, though. Whenever it comes on, I still point at the TV and say, "I'm as blank as a fart." :)
