Hoping the gang might be able to help me out with a recent problem of mine.

I am looking for a reproduction of the font used in the opening credits of Twin Peaks. Seems like everyone has the fonts for Jurassic Park and Family Guy, but I am specifically looking for the Twin Peaks font.

If anyone knows where I can obtain it or if someone wouldn't mind sending it my way, I'd be forever in your debt. Thanks!

Helvetica Condensed? Or possibly something else in the Helvetica family.

Pretty darn close, Booth. Once I placed the green and the orange border it looked very close to the credit font. I Appreciate the help!

I looked at the credits on YouTube to see some more letters and saw that there is no spur on the G (so no Helvetica), and the R is different.
Can't find a perfect match, Arial is closer than Helvetica, though.

A nice Arial Narrow is close, but the K on PEAKS is telltale... and not the same.

I found SimHei to be very close.  It's very similar to Arial Narrow, the difference being that letters are more narrow and closer together.

I'll check these suggestions out tomorrow. You guys have a keener eye than I do. I thought Helvetica was pretty darn close.

I'll check those fonts out. Thanks again for your thoughts and suggestions!

And just as an added thought... remember that there was never really ONE font. Different pieces of official merchandies have different fonts, plus, at episode 26 even the font used in the intro credits changed. I think if you compare episode 25's intro credits to episode 26's, you'll see the difference... After someone pointed it out here on the board before, I went and took screenshots of it... I think that thread must be around here somewhere still, but I don't know where... here's the images anyway:

I find the Twin Peaks font with the red and green to be a bit garish, takes away from the brilliant intro in my opinion.

The typeface in the opening and closing credits is ITC Avant Garde Gothic Condensed Demi Bold.

The cones in our retinae are responsive to three colors: red, green, and blue. Blue cones only make up 7% of the receptors with 37% being green-sensitive and 56% red. When the colors green and red are placed next to each other on a screen, it creates a visual vibration. I would assume David Lynch used this affect to illustrate a theme of the series: a contrast between pastoral Washington and what precipitated the death of Laura Palmer.

Yep, I've always had it as that or ITC Avant Garde Gothic Condensed Medium... there was an instance or two where I could see it as either the Demi Bold or the Medium.
