Doesn't it seem like after Catherine comes back that Pete starts to really change? I feel like before he just lets Catherine go on and do her thing without getting involved, but towards Season 2 he starts to really just act like he'll do anything and everything for her? Is it just because he's so happy she's alive or what?

I wondered about that too. I love Pete. He is always the most respectable character on the show. The scene in jail when he plays the tape for Ben really throws me. He is listening to his wife go on about shacking up with another man and is laughing at the situation. That troubles me.

I know, I always thought Pete had the most integrity out of anyone next to Cooper, but then that happens and the whole Andrew Packard storyline comes in and definitely messe with your perception of the guy.

I was surprised that he acted the way he did when he and Catherine are having dinner and Josie is serving them. He says of course "Aren't you being a little hard on her", but that dosn't make up for the expression on his face just seconds earlier. Pete, you love Josie, what is the matter with you!?

What is the matter with him? Pete is completely in love with Catherine, even when she's a bitch and treats him most of the time as a dog, and he'll do anything for her... I actually loved that 'dark' side of Pete, that while he is "a prince of a man", a lovable, honest, excellent guy he has one great weakness: Catherine and how much he loves her... Of course he's oblivious to what she has to say in the tape about Ben! The man is blind... In a town like Twin Peaks no one is innocent....and perfect, not even Pete...

And he had loved Josie, but I think he feels a little bitter toward he that she had been deceiving them, having tried to pull the plug on Andy Packard, someone Pete was close to.
