You must know it's not like me to shamelessly plug my son's work.  It's not at all like that.  No way!  I would never do that.

Enough protesting?

But... the trailer for his horror film is now on YouTube and various other locations.  Some of you may want to check it out.  It's called Dark Reel and it stars Ed Furlong, Lance Henriksen, Tony Todd, Tiffany Shepis, Tracey Walter, Rena Riffel, Mercedes McNab and Alexandra Holden.

In a theater near you (we hope!!!) in 2008.  Two minutes of it on the TP Gazette for a click!

That looks really good, I'll definitely go see it when it comes out. I notice Edward Furlong is no stranger to a cheeseburger or ten!

The face of HORROR is about to change with this cult classic.

So the movie isn't even released yet, and it's already a cult classic?

A horror movie that features Frank Black and Candyman!! How bad can it be?? Count me in. I gotta remember to tell my buddy Luis about this one and a co-worker who is a big time horror flick fan.

Thanks for that, Susan! It is a great movie.  Crossing my fingers for you guys to make sure it hits theaters.  (Oh, yeah. And I'm still available for more free work if Josh needs me! )

Yeah, how about that "little" Ed Furlong!  And remember how he once freed lobsters on behalf of PETA?  Unbelievable that you picked up on the fact that there was more than one slip-away excursion to In 'N' Out Burger, James. (You didn't hear it from me)

Sorry Angel wasn't in the trailer but she is featured in the nightclub scene.

Yes, Booth, it IS a cult classic.  There is nothing premature in that assessment.  No braggadocio.  Just a factual statement.  Like all Hollywood promo.  Whaddaya think you're going to get when geniuses are involved.

I like your ad campaign strategy, Smokey -- Frank Black and Candyman.

Yes, Logic, Josh is all about film.  He won't go back.  He can't go back.  He loves his 35 mm.

Thanks for watching, guys.  Fingers crossed as the new year progresses.

Yes, let's hope this filmmaking thing works out for him. But if it doesn't, he always has-- oh, he doesn't really have anything else to fall back on. GO, JOSH!!! (Susan, you owe me a DVD. After all, I sent you one of my movie!)

There is a buzz going around the internet about it, mostly concerning Furlong.  Someone behind me at the premiere stood up and shouted something like, "Brilliant!!!" and clapped at the end of the credits.

Josh and David Lynch have a similar eye and sense of humor (Robin said he pretty much re-wrote the script, too) so I don't think the influence will go unnoticed by fans of both.

Oh, Cherrybomb made it to the premiere! Can't wait to hear his "theories"...  Liked the bit of D.R. that was screened at the Fest in 2006, but I'll reserve judgement until a full viewing is obtained.

Chris, that wasn't Dark Reel that was screened at the fest -- that was Inner Balance, the opening scene of Josh's Untitled Desert Project and hopefully his next feature film which will be shot in Arizona or New Mexico.

I laughed at that part too. :D I've watched the trailer a few times showing it to people and that never gets old.

Excuse my confusion. I was wondering where Dana A. figgered in D.R.   So, Josh has got several irons in the fire.  Hope they all heat up properly & do whatever hot irons are supposed to do.

I am a little suspicious of the second YouTube comment.
Not that I'm judging or anything. Keep on tubthumping.

Oh, you dark and cynical boy, Booth!

Actually that was written by the father of the artist known as TVHoKB. He has known Josh since his pre-tadpole days and has an uncanny eye for talent.
