I keep forgetting how they went from finding a body wrapped in plastic on the lake or river to an abandoned traincar somewhere else.  Please enlighten me!

The body washes up on the lake and then all of a sudden the deputies are like, "we found an abandoned traincar!"

Where did they go to get from point A to point B?

Was it because of Ronette discovered walking along the tracks?
