Are there any somewhat non-traditional holiday doings that y'all indulge in?  I found some great gifts: gummy haggis & tapeworms, Humpy Puppy (he's screwing everything from a bowling ball to sock monkey) fridge magnets &  a reindeer head lollipop where you're actually licking HIS tongue ($1 at Walgreen's!).  Fave holiday films/ specials are Pee-wee's Christmas (the MOST guest stars ever! AND funny as hel-- uh, HEAVEN!!), Some Girls (from '88, with Patrick Dempsey, Jennifer Connelly & Andre Gregory, ALL of whom get naked. This film is only on VHS), &  League of Gentlemen Christmas Special (it helps if you know the citizens of Royston Vasey).  Silent Partner is very tense, with Christopher Plummer as a violent bankrobber who dresses as Santa...  Fave drinks, songs, etc?

Yes. I often have a "green" Christmas. That is, no cards, no wrapping paper, no tree cutting, no tinsel/garland/broken lights garbage.

That's very earth-friendly, Angel.  I only sent a few cards this year, used a bit of recycled wrapping & got no tree. I guess everyone here is staunchly traditional, or celebrates not at all. Oh, & I discovered that Walgreen's has those animal tongue suckers in other species besides reindeer (hippo, leopard & zebra!).  Does anyone pull out the 12 Peaks of Christmas recording?   The first track on my holiday mix C.D. this year is Countdown to Christmas Partytime,  so I can sing the inevitable :" Andy Partridge was in XTC.".

Just a standard Aussie Christmas over here...

It was around 106/107 degrees yesterday...

...and over 111 degrees today!

And we still eat Roast Turkey (amongst all the seafood) - figure that one out!!

Merry Christmas to all.

Around noon yesterday we had a large flake snowfall in Seattle!  But, it came down for a few hours, sticking on lawns, etc., but not the roads & then the rain washed it all away.  It was nice to look at...  We opened most of our gifts on Christmas Eve, which is non-traditional for me!

I think that kid has found the secret, the "button" at the bottom is actually a snowman gloryhole. Y'know, for the christmas perverts.
