I recently watched FWWM for the second, and most likely, last time.
When A Real Indication starts playing, and Bobby starts backing towards the school, do people start "dancing" the closer he gets? Surely some kind of stylized walking was used, or was I hallucinating?

yeah they start dancing. But that it is because he is moving closer to them, that was a new thought. It is maybe he who is doing it to them, he who makes them dance? In a symbolic way this maybe makes sense, like he is a school rebel and always makes a fuzz in the classroom, making the others want to be like him or make them want to stand up to authorities and DANCE among other things?

Well, that was one of my associations!

You are seeing it for the last time?!! Hope it's nothing serious!

What does the dancing mean? It seems to occur frequently in TP; Audrey's dance, the little man in the lodge was always seen dancing etc.

Meaning? Not everything in TP has a meaning... Atmosphere, quirkiness, mood, that's what the dances are there for... Why we see a guy dancing in the school's hallway? It's the way the filmmakers tell us that, as Harry put it once, Twin Peaks is different...

The LMFAP's dance was also a clue, according to Coop, since Leland also danced...

Episode 16:

COOPER: Harry, the answer was right in front of me from the very beginning. What did the little man do in my dream?
TRUMAN: He danced.
COOPER: After Laura’s death Leland danced compulsively.

He'd just had that angry conversation with Laura, which she wins by forcing him to smile.  She rocks his world, you see.

Bobby is possessed by the Lodge and can only dance in reverse.

"Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it, don't wait for it, just let it happen. Could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot, black coffee. Like this."  -Dale Cooper

The dance of shiva. God of death. Dancing in a ring of fire.

Shiva was a mountain dweller, so Twin Peaks is a likely place to find him.

Bob is Played by Frank Silva. Frank Shiva. Bob wears blue denim. Shiva's throat is stained blue by the poison of a serpent. Bob has long hair. Shiva has long hair.

Shiva contains HIV.

Frank Silva died due to AIDS.

Shiva's son was ganesh. Who had only one tusk. Bob has his old friend/enemy the man with one arm.

The man with one arm tried to stop Bob from entering the train to get Laura. Ganesh tyried to stop Shiva from entering his wife's bathroom.

The name Frank means javelin. shiva carried a three pronged javelin.

Frank was also the name of the rabbit entity in DONNIE DARKO.

Think about it. Or not.

I mean, old waggly fingers Lynch is into this Hindu stuff. He'd know about it.

This scene of an underling (ganesha, man with one arm) attempting to stop a major male figure from interacting with a major female figure occurs a lot. It occurs in DRACULA. When Renfield tries to stop Dracula from attacking...whats her name. Harker's bit of fluff.

oh! I don't know!

Why do I bother?

Renfield is the onluy access Dracula has to the asylum. He has to be let in, invited. Renfield is therefore a guardian to the place and the lady.

Dracula is also Shiva. White of skin. A mountain dweller. Shiva is lord of the vampires and lower people in general.
