In episode 11 or 12 when judge Sternwood enters the show he senses that Truman has woman - trouble (i think he pronounces it "philly - trouble".... is that correctly spelled?). And he says further that it is two things you can do if your having trouble with your woman. But then they get interrupted by Cooper showing up, i think.

But i'm curious. What was Sternwood about to say? Any suggestions? Does he reveal it in another episode ?

It's "filly", a young female horse. So it fits with Josie, since she's a young female whore... se.
Coop was the one with Philly trouble.

It's never revealed what he's going to say and the script for the episode doesn't help either... So all we can do is extrapolate... Masturbation or infidelity? Becoming gay or becoming a priest? Find a law clerk like Sid or drink black yukon sucker punches to death?

If you're having trouble with your girlfriend, you could (a) take her to dinner at a nice restaurant, eg, The Ritz, London (but remember to book several weeks in advance) or (b) buy her a nice new dress so that she feels attractive.

I think those were the two possible courses of action that Judge Sternwood was going to suggest.

Then again, I could be wrong.

He said "But I'm not going to bore you with either one of them," (ie. same old, same old) It's less a matter of dispensing wisdom and more of having a sense of humor.

Yeah, he's acknowledging that "lady" advice given by an old fogie is usually pretty boring and begrudgingly taken, especially by a younger man.  And especially especially when it's couched in a tired, sexist animal metaphor.  I think that the best thing about Sternwood is this moment where he acknowledges his own uselessness and lack of being very interesting.  It sure presages the rest of his crappy cameo.

"Having bitch trouble, shar'f Truman?
Then there are two things you can do, but they will both land you in jail, huh huh."

Here's what Sternwood was probably going to say:

1. Owners who know their fillies will notice when she becomes a little sulky at the start of her season.

2. You can rectally palpate the filly to see if she has ovulated.

I got ninety-nine problems, but rectally palpating my filly to see if she has ovulated ain't one.

So Truman has filly - trouble..

And agent cooper is the one with philly - trouble, and thats why he wants to move to Twin peaks?!! Ha Ha! I am a true comedian!

Since we get introduced to that divinely annoying louie ogre in the same episode i think judge Sternwoods advice has something to do with chocking this woman. But maybe that is just in my head...

No i am just kidding. Twin Peaks would not have been the same without those minutes featuring Louie.

Yeah, "studs", "chicks" don't dig the animal nicknames!  Use the generic "female". Or " ho".

I can only imagine the interesting conversation of sitting down to beers and Black Yukon sucker punches with Judge Sternwood and Major Briggs. Enlightening would be an understatement.

"Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it, don't wait for it, just let it happen. Could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot, black coffee. Like this."  -Dale Cooper

Just don't leave them to "answer Mother Nature's call".   I don't think Sternie could handle another alien "probing" at his age.

I don't understand why Agent Cooper doesn't drink his glass of it.  Maybe because he is "on duty." Who knows?  I bet he is missing out

There is a recipe on an older thread on this board somewhere
