Universal Home Video has announced a new edition of the 1997 film Lost Highway which stars Bill Pullman, Patricia Arquette, and Balthazar Getty. This David Lynch directed film will be available to own from the 25th March, and should retail at around $19.98. The film itself will be presented in anamorphic widescreen, along with an English Dolby Digital track. As far as we know, the only extra material on this one will be a 10-Part Multi-Angle Interview with David Lynch. Stay tuned for the official package artwork.

Finally, thank God! Maybe I'll enjoy the film more with decent picture... some of those scenes are really hard to see on the old DVD.
That god damn trailer's more popular than Uncle's Day in a whorehouse!

I have always wanted to see Lynch flutter his fingers at different angles. Dreams do come true. I hope he talks about "the wind".

I'm guessing multi-angle is more like user-controlled switching between video footage of Lynch and footage from the film, or whatever. I don't even remember the last DVD I bought that had that feature. A testament to how long this thing's been sitting on the shelf. It's probably a foregone conclusion that the Gold Box sales had some sway in Universal's decision. I hope Lynch had nothing to do with the cover design on this one. E: To clarify, I'm thrilled that this is coming out. 1998: The Truman Show, dir. Peter Weir, & The Big Lebowski, dir. Joel Coen

The David Lynch interview with multi-angle options was filmed in 2005. It's on the 2-disc special editions of Lost Highway released in France, Australia and the UK. It's my favourite filmed DL interview. Off the top of my head I think there's three different angles to choose from. The interview's divided into subjects even though it's only about fifteen minutes long. You can view the (short) chapters or select all.

Alas, my collection will never feel complete without the Fire Walk With Me deleted scenes. The Gold box seems to have sold well so hopefully now people will stop dragging their heels. It's been fifteen years since it was released. That's half my life! I know Fire Walk With Me is never going to be embraced by the masses but it's DL's most beautiful film and it's yet to have a decent release anywhere in the world. The MK2 Lost Highway special edition's fantastic. It's much better than their attempt at a 'collector's edition' of Fire Walk With Me. The multi-angle interview's excellent, as are the interviews with Patricia Arquette, Robert Loggia and Bill Pullman. I'm guessing they'll just ransack that edition for special features for the R1 release. I wonder if they'll do the same with Mulholland Drive...

Ahh, lens flare! Other than that, it's pretty appropriate and inoffensive. 1999: South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut, dir. Trey Parker

I would have loved to have this picture as a cover. Completely black, with that picture in the middle. Maybe the title at the top, with the correct font.

It's a beautiful thing that happens, you know. | That's what I've heard. I've heard that the wind starts to blow and the pictures start to move. And it's a beautiful thing that happens, y'know.

booth, love the lost highway hotel pic there only, esp. in black with a bit of dim white lights over shadowing a bit, not too much, just a tad, would be very cool. splash a bit of grey in :)

Cool cover art, slightly spiffier version of the original cover, which was already cool... Booth's is even better though.
