i was fan of twin peaks since 1992,but i didn't watch film "fire walk with me" . yesterday i was watched "fire walk with me",first time. great but very scarry movie i want to add one scene where laura was in the car with her daddy. this is very scarry scene(lynch horor scene),and i was found that liland palmer was very scarry act scene "ronnete was in bad with leland, and he put his hand over the laura face.after that laura was in car with him,and she was crying and talkin that she knew some man" in a mid time, some shoting on liland (who is this man) look at leland face ,it was horrible

I'm sorry to laugh. I know it's unfair but your English is very funny.
Referring to Leland as "his Daddy" was a highlight. I have never really thought of FWWM as being very scary, more disturbing throughout.

I watched episodes 1-14, then FWWM with my girfriend at the weekend in a TP marathon (she'd never seen it before and bought the gold box edition for me). She absolutley loved the series but hated the film because it was so dark and lacked the quirkyness and humour so typical of the series. She was so disturbed by FWWM that she had to sleep with the light on!

I agree with zakragujevac. The car scene is disturbing. There's some great acting my the two actors. You see the madness seething below the surface. FWWM is a lot darker than TP. Welcome, zakragujevac. I know how tough it is to speak foreign languages so thanks for trying. If people find something you write funny, remember they are amused by your MISTAKE and not BY YOU. So, please don't take it personally.

Well..I believe he disappeared, because he found the owl ring under the trailer. And since the ring belongs to Mike/LMFAP,I believe they just wanted to get it back from him.(Mike needed the ring, which later he threw into the traincar,so Laura could put it on.)We may never know what happened to Desmond..maybe the same that happened to Philip Jefferies...who knows...
Beware of BOB

When I call out no one can hear me,when I whisper he thinks the message is for him only..my little voice inside my throat,I always think there must be something that I've done or something I can do...But no one no one comes to help,he says,a little girl like you...

'film because it was so dark and lacked the quirkyness and humour so typical of the series. ' i agree. i jujst watched fwwm on friday to complete my twin peaks fest. as well, the film lacked the warmth that tp itself did. the music was phenominal, however. the scene which zakragujevac describes always moves me to tears. it's so horrifying and sad. laura feels such hopelessness. but at last she sees the angel. the choral during the whole scene adds to its incredible pathos. welcome to the bbs, zakragujevac! you should be commended in your struggle with english; i doubt i could tackle your language nearly as well. i understood well enough what you wanted to say here.

it's pileated, isn't it?

You're definitely right snog; though I consider FWWM to be one of Lynch's weaker efforts (though it's still pretty stirring), I think the music is Badalamenti's best score ever. Every piece is just amazingly beautiful, and it's all used really well in the context of the film.
That god damn trailer's more popular than Uncle's Day in a whorehouse!

I was totally freaked out the first time I watched FWWM. But, I watched it again last weekend after reviewing the Gold Box and found it left me feeling much happier at the end than the series did. *****************SPOILERS*********************** I guess what I found happier about it was that it seemed to bring closure to Laura's pain for me. Does anyone think that maybe Cooper had to get trapped in the BL for "25 years" so that Laura could tell him who killed her?
Another question: I thought that Mike was a "good guy", trying to help Coop solve the mystery. But if he is, then why does he throw the ring in the train car for Laura? Is the ring what ultimately leads to her death?
my user name is spelled incorrectly. tatemae

Yeah, but death isn't necessarily a bad thing, especially if you're in pain and being tortured. Remember Laura's last diary entry in ep 16... Laura wanted to die so she could be free of BOB. Mike helped her with that. BOB didn't want Laura to die, he wanted to be her and keep tormenting her like he did with Leland.

My own opinions on what's what in TP are different every time you ask me. Right now, as I start to think about it, I don't think Mike is a "good guy." He's just a black magician or "lodge spirit" who has lost his hired man. But Mike still has way to get what's his. And by the way, Mike is lying about the whole "seeing the face of god" business, and it was not Mike but Phillip Gerard who cut the arm off, in order to get rid of Mike. This all makes sense off course only if you think that all the supernatural elements are true in the TP reality. And right now, I don't think they are. Maybe "Mike" and Leland were just drinking buddies and together involved in some weird shit, and things got out of control for both of them.

on a ligher note as regards fwwm, i die laughing every time i hear/read jaques saying in the night club scene: 'my mind is as blank as a fart'. honestly, that just fractures me.

it's pileated, isn't it?
