 good topic,but not completely right.

I think fans deserve some type of continuation (tv series or film, book orsome new diary...)

The key of success of twin peaks is character of agent cooper.Every scene with him is amazing.

I think fans deserve to know:

-what did happen with Agent Cooper?

-What did happen with white lodge?

-Who is Bob?he isn't only a bad spirit,he is the "boss" of black lodge. what is with nature forces which are stronger than bob?

I think there are lot of space for investigation of twin peaks misteries.I want a new book more than tv series or film

But is Bob really the boss of the Black Lodge?

No, BOB is (always all caps). Bob is the maintenance guy who comes in after hours & scrubs all the coffee & garmonbozia off the floor (& every 3 months he steam cleans the drapes & polishes the statue).

Good grief, imagine how long that clean-up job would take...

...Uh huh.

Seriously though, I would think that if it were possible to convince Kyle MacLachlan and David Lynch that they could do it, it would at least be possible.

I don't even want resolutions necessarily, I just want more stories within the TP universe.

I have to question some of Magnut's opinions about William Peter Blatty (the author and screenwriter of THE EXORCIST) and William Friedkin. He states that both of these two are challenged in the brains department. This seems particularly ridiculous - he doesn't back up either claim either. Is he saying that Blatty is a 'village idiot' because he believes in the idea of possession? I have no reason to believe that Friedkin is an idiot either, he's certainly a good filmmaker, if very interested in creating an exciting and interesting effect if not too much substance maybe.

So you're saying Blatty is a village idiot merely because he thinks the case that The Exorcist was based on is believable, whilst you say it was a hoax? I have not read anywhere that it was proven to be a hoax...where did you hear that please?

Lastly, on your claim that TWIN PEAKS was lean...are you sure on that one? I felt Season 2 was far from lean, certain episodes are nigh well  unwatchable. They're only interesting because they are 'Twin Peaks' as such and feature loved characters.

With INLAND EMPIRE I think all of the limitations of Lynch having full narrative reign over a film were showcased, as much as I liked the idea and art of the project. But in terms of substance there wasn't as much to get your teeth into as there was in TWIN PEAKS, which was enabled by the input of all the other writers on the show. As far as the credits tell you, only Lynch conceived the story behind INLAND EMPIRE. Can you imagine EMPIRE if Lynch had enlisted the help of a couple of other writers? I think it would have been improved!

Yeah, garmonbozia stains are hard to get out.

I think it would be a little easier when you didn't have those pesky things called time and space. But I mean BOB would be a hell of a boss to work for. Plus you've got annoying things like Laura Palmer dopplegangers screaming in your face all the time. I know I wouldn't be able to put up with that, he must be a saint.

In the book Lynch on Lynch, David says the ending of the series was not the ending of the series, it's just what were given due to cancellation.  David has got to realize ( and I love his other movies) that Twin Peaks is the biggest thing he has ever done and needs to return for there are more stories he can tell.
