Is that moderator's on this website say whatever the hell they want regardless of topic, and insult those of us who are new and just want to talk about certain elements of Twin Peaks.

is that about, I wonder?

If that was directed at me, jamie8668, then I'm not a moderator.  But opinions, by nature, will conflict in an open discussion.  If you find someone else's contrary, rest assure it's not personal (this is just the internet)  and no one is trying to crush your ideas.  So either defend your position or ignore it.

Interesting comment, Jamiel, considering that none of of the five of us moderators have even involved ourselves in actual Twin Peaks discussion in, gosh, a good many months. Well, geoff pops up from time to time but he doesn't really steer anything. Just makes observations. So you'll have to forgive everyone if we're just a bit surprised by your post. It's completely out of left field and I don't know that any of us know what it's actually in relation to. Please feel free to PM me if you want to discuss this further because I don't really want this to turn into a flamewar thread that was going so well before.

I'm not a moderator either, but I am a grammatical nitpicking policeman sometimes, so I'd just like to point out that "moderators" in your context is plural, not possessive, so no apostrophe. You're welcome.

Every time I see the title of this thread, I keep thinking it says "maison" instead of "mason" and it makes me giggle. I probably should start wearing my glasses while I surf now. :)

This is my speculation. I was doing some research on free masonry for my thesis and the various symbols they historically gave meaning to. This is all very interesting. One of the elements in Twin Peaks that stands out is the idea of the Lodges. Now here is where i start wondering if there are ties...Free masons meet AS a lodge- they are private meetings/memberships, every new lodge must be warented by the grand lodge...and there are three Lodge degrees that have titles and so forth. What do you guys think?

Haha, and I thought he had moved from carpentry to laying bricks.  Was going to give him a call about a bid on this retaining wall that's leaning.

My granddaddy was a Mason.  My grandma was in the Eastern Star, the female equivalent.  Too much is made of these groups.  Hey, when I was four years old, I even attended a Masonic picnic at Euclid Beach in Cleveland, OH.  Holding my granddaddy's hand as he walked along wearing his fez and smoking a cigar.  I remember it with a soft muted hum of bygone days.

Many more of us would probably have joined Masons/Eastern Star or similar clubs if we didn't have TV and Internet and other sundry forms of "social interaction."
