RIGHT IDEA IN A RIGHT TIME

yesterday i read a book and found this sentences.

and i started to think about things from my childhood (1991 i had 11) which i wanted for all these years.

1.new twin peaks movie or series

2.new guns n roses album

i read that new gnr album will be realised in february 200,but now i wanna talk about twin peaks.

I like both seasons of series, but i think thay lynch was hurry with movie and 1993 wasn't be the year of fire walk with me.in 90'es  culture of the world (especially usa,europe...) was very commercial and very weak, and stuff like twin peaks wasn't be understanding.I think that was one of the reasons why 2 season had bad ratio on tv.Then fire walk with me had a bad comercial success and bad ratings.

But legend is there. We have a legend of twin peaks, and also i think this time right time from something new from twin peaks.Lynch and co now that, and that was the reason why they realised new dvd. Also 60% of fans of twin peaks was very very young 1991,and i 'm sure that new series or movie will have a great succes.

ok,there are lot of people whose say "well it isn't posible because

-franki is dead

-cooper have 20 kg more than 1991

-lot of actors are deas

and other stuff"

but if you wanna Bob in new series you can find lot of people whose like Bob,main actors are alive now so you can do that with them.

And main thing is now is right time for a right idea

I'd agree with the general gist of this I think.

Kyle MacLachlan isn't surely 20kg heavier now than in 1992? Even if he was, would it matter?

I'd applaud Lynch if he did something with Twin Peaks again, if only because what I loved most about INLAND EMPIRE were its highly Twin Peaks-esque aspects, albeit without a clear plotline.

If Lynch did do a Twin Peaks film or something like that again it would possibly have more drive or a gripping storyline, which INLAND EMPIRE didn't, as much as I found it an interesting and good film.

I don't remember when but I recall David Lyynch saying that Twin Peaks is finished. He will never do a Twin Peaks film again, TV or movie. I sure hope I'm wrong, though. Or maybe he'll change his mind. Keep in mind he has NEVER done a sequel to any of his movies.

QUOTE:Well, it bugs me that they never got around to release the third season. However I hope that they never try to do it now - I think it would be impossible to re-create the same feel and atmosphere that they had in the 90s when they shot the series - for me this is an important aspect of Twin Peaks. A new updated version would ruin this. Besides I kinda like the open ending....

Rescpect your comment, but i think that it is possible to recreat feeling, because many people were very young in 90'es.

Also,i'm sure that todays kids would like new twin peaks.

You're right David Lynch said twin peaks saga is over, but people are changing their thouts in a time.BTW i read in newspapers that frost wanted new episodes in 2003 or 2004.David Lynch and Mark Frost are very creative people so i'm sure that they can find inspiration and ideas for new episodes.

I think that if Lynch and/or Frost decided to continue Twin Peaks now, they could find a way to film new TV episodes or a new film. Of course, Snoqualmie probably hasn't changed much, and the usual pine forests, waterfall, and so forth are still there. The major problem would be reassembling the cast. They might have to use different actors, but then it would never quite have the same feel. Also, Lynch has declared all his subsequent films will be shot with a digital camera, and so, the texture of the image would be completely different from the original series. But I'm sure there are ways around these problems...

I would think the biggest problem would be re-casting KILLER BOB - the rest of the major characters are still alive (they don't have to have the mayor or senior droolcup but they must have KILLER BOB)- Of course it would have to take place now, not 15 years ago right after the final episode aired. The actors have aged 15 years and there's no getting around that.It would be GREAT - Evil Cooper wrecking havoc for the past 15 years and now the townsfolk are finally ready to put a stop to it!!

Why would something like that happen? "25 years later" is just when Laura tells Cooper who killed her.
And we've already seen that.

Correct - so it's obviously a highly significant date, which is why a continuation of the story "25 years later" would make sense. Who knows? maybe that's the next time Jupiter & Saturn meet again. It would also make Coop into the natural successor of Jeffries - perhaps he would randomly appear in Albert's office again.

Has he taken his eyes off it yet?

I don't want a straight continuation, but I think a movie about Desmond investigating a blue rose case twenty years after he disappeared would have been nice. Maybe he could meet Judy too. And Mrs. Tremond should play a major part (Frances Bay is still active). But I'm not holding my breath.

"What credit card do you want to put that on?"
"Caash, prease."
