Now I know you're going to ask why Tim Buckley is being discussed here.

But has it been said that "Sycamore Trees" sounds a lot like the Tim Buckley song? It had to be inspired by it.

Maybe Mr. Neff might know? Or any other music freaks on here?

here's the song.

That's pretty scary in terms of the similar style. That is an amazing Buckley song in it's own right; yet another artist who died too young. Difficult to say if there was any direct influence from the two; but both have the same eerie bass noise. Slightly disturbing et beautiful!(Like much of Badalamenti's work!!!)

At this year's pre-fest party I sang an a capella medley of Buckley's Song to the Siren, with an intermingling at the end of Sycamore Trees & Just You & I. I thought it turned out pretty well...

You should have tried a Strange Fruit and Sycamore Trees mix.

Southern trees bear strange fruit,
Blood on the leaves and blood at the root,
Black bodies swinging in the southern breeze,
Strange fruit hanging from the poplar trees.

And I'll see you
And you'll see me
And I'll see you in the branches that blow
In the breeze,
I'll see you in the trees
