Hi everyone! I'm new here.
I became a big fan of TP about two years ago.
I saw TP when it first aired here in Sweden back in the 90's but I was too young to understand it.
So I watched Beverly Hills instead.
But now that I'm older and somewhat wiser, I love it!

I'm thinking about going to the festival next year.
Maybe I'll see some of you there.
However, I would prefer to go there during the autumn and not summer since the show takes place during autumn.

I'm not a fan of the movie Fire Walk With Me.
I think it's pretty bad actually.
Neither am I a big fan of movies by Lynch.
But TP is a masterpiece.

Anyway, in episode 27 when Benjamin and Audrey are in his office, she leaves and Ben kinda kneels down and then suddenly turns around as though he's scared by something. What's that all about? A vision of Bob? I doubt it.

Do you guys think Ben dies in the last episode?
I like to think that he survives.

The impression I've gotten is that a lot of what is in TP was made up as they went along during the shooting of the show, like the character of Bob for example. Sometimes I feel that there are no hidden meanings, depths or links between various events etc in TP. People have since the show first aired been analyzing and trying to figure things out. There are a lot of things in TP that are debatable, like when Dale's and Pete's (maybe someone else too, can't remember) hands start trembling. Why do they tremble? Is Bob near? I doubt it. Bob can't be the reason for every goofy thing that happens in TP. Hehe :)
Or maybe they just decided that their hands would tremble so we would have somehting to talk about 17 years later.
What are your thoughts about this? :)

I'm glad to be here!
Check out the picture below.
It's coffe, donuts, candles and TP.
Drinking coffe and eating donuts while watching TP makes the experience much better. :)

Welcome, Benjamin.  NOT a Lynch fan, eh? Hmmm. Okay, you can stay.  I don't know about the Swedish seasons, but the timeline for TP is actually in late Feb. into March.  That's latter winter here in old Wa. state...

Hi!

My name is not Benjamin :) Hehe.

No, I wouldn't call myself a Lynch fan.
Some of his movies are too wacky for my limited brain to comprehend, like Lost Highway, Mulholland and Inland.

Really? Feb to March?
I see. I wasn't aware of that.
Sorry.

QUOTE:If i'm not mistaken.......the shaking of the hand is when a persons doppleganger is trying to get out

Could you please elaborate on this theory White Lodge? makes absolutely no sense whatsoever to me this way... how or why would a doppelganger try to "get out" in this way? Do you mean when BOB's trying to possess people? Because it's clear in ep 29 that doppelgangers = BOB, since BOB represents the dark side of all men. In that case why would BOB try to possess Pete, the lady in the RR, etc.? Especially since BOB doesn't leave the Black Lodge till the end of the episode. It seems that doppelganger can only take full control either if BOB possesses people or by switching places with the "good" side. Also I believe that the doppelgangers are as much a part of a whole person as the good side, and the good and bad sides are only split when one enters the Black Lodge... there's plenty of evidence in the final episode to support this.

That god damn trailer's more popular than Uncle's Day in a whorehouse!

Hi Ribbons, I like you already! I too was wondering exactly the same thing about Benjamin, I wondered what he had seen when he turned around in his office.  I dont think that is ever explained.  The hand shaking thing too, I never really got that but my first thought was obviously that there was something evil brewing, but also I wondered whether it was a sign that something bad is about to happen to them.  The only one we dont know about is the lady in the diner. Who's hands shake altogether? I cant remember?

Ribbons, your coffee and donuts look incredible! I too either buy donuts or cherry pie every time I watch TP.  Probably why Ive put on half a stone in the last month!

I've always thought those things happening in the last episodes(hands shaking, Ben turning around in his office) have been related to powerful changes that are going to take place in Twin Peaks in the near future. The force is related to the conjuction of Jupiter and Saturn and "the evil in these woods". People in Twin Peaks, and especially those with some kind of gift to sense these powers, are physically affected when the time is near.

On the other hand, TP was supposed to go on for a 3rd season and maybe DL brought in these things for future storylines, we'll never know

The hand shaking is generally thought to relate to BOB/The Black Lodge in some way - observe the way BOB is shown at the end of that episode - his shaking hand comes into the spotlight before he screams "I'm out" - the shaking hands could simply be an indicator that BOB is on his way.

As for what Ben sees, again, nobody can be 100% sure, but it seems fairly likely that he sees/senses Josie. Two reasons for thinking this: firstly, we know that Josie has somehow become trapped within the wood of The Great Northern, so it doesn't seem that unreasonable to think that she would try to seek Ben out. The other reason so many people think it must be Josie is that the very next scene shows Pete gazing at the walls of the Great Northern and saying "Josie, I see your face".

I'm not entirely convinced about the shaking hands, but I'm perfectly happy to believ that Ben sees Josie, or feels her presence at least.

Has he taken his eyes off it yet?
