would have explored that were left dangling in the Ep. 29 finale? I swear someday soon I am going to sit down and watch the pilot thru FWWM and write a very serious close-to-the-canon effort of what they would have done with season 3 just for fun. I feel like I want some closure to certain plot lines, and not everything has to be resolved. What happened to Pete, Audrey, and Andrew in the bank? Did they survive? Who would try to rescue Cooper in the Lodge? What would happen with the Bad Coop? Would Major Briggs enter the Lodge? What about the Passion Play? What about the nurse that takes the ring from Annie in FWWM deleted scenes? What about Desmond and Jefferies? Even less serious subplots like Lucy, Andy, and the baby. What about the Log Lady backstory and the events surrounding her husband's death? What other supernatural occurences have happened throughout the history of Twin Peaks in those dark woods? What is the deal with Josie stuck in the wood and who Ben saw in ep. 27? The shaking hands? Leo under the spider cage? How's Annie? The Ed, Nadine, and Norma triangle. Donna losing it after finding out about Ben. What happened to Johnny Horne really, didnt Audrey push him down the stairs? What all do the Bookhouse Boys really know about the "evil in those woods?" Is Diane real? I'm not sure about the whole Mike and Bob from a planet of corn thing, although it could still really be done in a very dark, menacing way with the right creativity and images evoked. It would be fun to flesh these things out and more and still leave enough mystery surrounding the show because that is probably the main allure of the dark fairy tale that is Twin Peaks. Just wondering what fellow Peaker's insights are on interesting 3rd season plotlines and where they could head. Don't hang me if this has already has been discussed ad nauseum.

If there was going to be a third season, the second season finale would have been a lot different. They knew it was all over by the time they did the finale.

Looks like someone has already started this fun Season 3 process and is taking it very seriously Check out this part 1 of a 12 part conclusion story by this Gerry Shannon fella. Very good read. http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3743149/1/Stone_By_Stone

Honestly the writers had plenty of time to follow up on these storylines if they'd wanted to... I don't think we'd be getting any answers to this stuff in a third season... and who is Diane in the Twin Peaks world? I definitely don't remember anyone by that name... but it's been a while since I've seen the later episodes (aside from the finale).
That god damn trailer's more popular than Uncle's Day in a whorehouse!

Diane, it's 12:05AM on September the 14th, and I can't believe there's someone who's watched Twin Peaks and doesn't know who you are.

Diane 7.22 September 14, on my steak for dinner.
Beauty is momentary in the mind - The fitful tracing of a portal; But in the flesh it is immortal. The body dies; the body's beauty lives. So evenings die, in their green going, A wave, interminably flowing. So gardens die, their meek breath scenting the cowl of winter, done repenting. So maidens die, to the auroral Celebration of a maiden's choral. Susanna's music touched the bawdy strings Of those white elders; but, escaping, Left only Death's ironic scraping. Now in its immortality, it plays On the clear viol of her memory, And makes a constant sacrement of praise. ('Peter Quince at the Clavier' by Wallace Stevens)
