I built this forum almost 2 years ago and haven't upgraded it since that time, and thinking maybe it's time to crack open the code and start offering some new updates. I'm really amazed as to how well the forum has done without any major issues over hte past couple of years - I most of it over a weekend. I know there are some suggestions already in this forum, but how about some more? Just reply to this thread with real quick ideas and suggestions. I'm going to prioritize it from easy to hard.  I still have some ADMIN stuff that needs to be done to make our lives easier so we can easily manage users and threads.

I would suggest making all forums visible on the front page, so that you don't stumble over something 10 days after it was posted (this thread).
Also seeing if there are any new PMs when you log in. There was a pleasant shock involved with seeing that.

There is a link that appears on the right top portion of the page when you have a new PM, so maybe it needs to be more obvious? An option to display child forums - added.

I just sent a PM to myself to check. And sure enough, there it was. I have never noticed it before.
Then again, I don't get many PMs.
