I just downloaded a Japanese presskit for FWWM, and it seems like it is full of great information. Only problem is, it's in Japanese, obviously. There is a character correlation map that l think looks quite interesting. There are character's faces in squares, and there are squares with text inside, I wonder what those characters are? There are cast interviews, extensive text on the film, a map that shows EXACTLY WHERE TWIN PEAKS IS, and all sorts of cool stuff. Anyone speak Japanese, or know of an American version of this material?

In Wrapped In Plastic's article on FWWM promotional material they mistakenly referred to the Japanese brochure as a presskit and the Cannes pressbook as a British presskit. The Japanese booklet isn't a presskit, it's a commercially available programme that was sold in Japanese cinemas. If you look on Ebay you'll see there are brochures for Wild At Heart, The Elephant Man, Lost Highway etc. that use a similar format.

The presskit shown in the PDF file isn't from Britain, it's an English language pressbook from the Cannes premiere. It's available in French and English and the French language edition seems to be far more common than the English version. The contact information at the front of both books is for a press office in France. What the PDF file doesn't include is a small fold-out chart that shows how the characters are connected, and the shooting diary.

The British presskit is just a photocopy of the English language Cannes pressbook. It doesn't include the chart or shooting diary but comes with five black and white stills and a foldout card FWWM poster type thing. The US presskit consists of typed sheets stapled together, and six black and white stills. It's nowhere near as lavish or detailed as the Japanese programme, or the Cannes pressbooks. There's also a German pressbook (plain text with no stills, or artwork) and a Canadian presskit which is similar to the format for the US and UK presskits (stapled sheets with black and white stills).

The information in the Japenese brochure probably isn't unique but some of the stills and artwork are exclusive and are not available in any of the presskits.

I just found something in the "british presskit". In the synopsis section, it refers to "Partyland", the place where Laura and Donna went with Buck, Jaque, and that other guy(hehe), as "The Power and the Glory." Has the name of that nightclub been published elsewhere?

The script names the club as 'Partyland' There might have been a deleted shot of a neon sign that was never used.

It's also referred to as The Power and the Glory in the US New Line press release. If you don't already have the kit you can read it at http://www.lynchnet.com/fwwm/fwwmpress.html
