If someone was to enter the Black Lodge, who had no knowledge of Laura, Leland, Annie or Coop or who they were, would they see their Doppelganger's, or only Doppelganger's of people they know??

They would only see Doppelganger's of people they know However, since the "real" Dale Cooper is there, you would probibly see him, as well as Phillip Jeffries, etc. Then again, it's probibly a matter of who BOB wants or doesn't want you to see.

BOB sure seemed to be in control of it in the last episode - Who do you think is in control of it, Mike? He's hardly ever there, from what I can tell but he does order BOB to give him the garmonbozia that he got from killing Laura. Mike once said that BOB was his familiar. A familiar to a magician is a servant so maybe Mike is still "in charge" even though he renounced evil. What do you other people out there think?

BOB isn't in control. He's too primal, too animal. Look at the way the LMFAP and Mike ask for the Garmonbozia back. If the Lodge spirits were a family, BOB would be a badass teenage delinquent, prowling round in his denim, raping girls and growing his hair long.

He is. Mike still has mastery over Bob though he's renounced his evil ways - as demonstrated by his rejection of his literal arm and 'The Arm' in the form of the Little Man From Another Place. But Mike finds it difficult to go about stopping Bob due to his host, Phillip Michael Gerrard, constantly resisting him. Entering the Black Lodge and re-uniting with the arm is probably the last resort, but Mike does so to claim Laura's (and Leland's?) garmonbozia so Bob doesn't grow in power. The Little Man From Another Place is a sort of weapon to be utilized by those in the Lodge, be it Cooper (most likely unknowingly) to give him clues, or Bob to use him to go killing. Note the dwarf appearing with Bob when Josie dies, and the shot from FWWM of the dwarf leading Bob through the curtains. You know the track on FWWM soundtrack, 'the black dog runs at night'? I've always been of the opinion that when they went "killing together", Mike did so by way of Phillip Michael Gerrard's body, while Bob was in the a pet black dog of Gerrard's, so named 'Bob' after his vetinerian friend, Bob Lydecker. (Notice the shot of the black dog barking when Leland is at the car wheel during the traffic sequence in FWWM, and the aforementioned song played when Leland walks away from the motel). That Bob might have once resided in an animal, dog, would explain his animalistic behaviour in his true form.

I've often wondered this myself, would you see twisted versions of your loved ones? Judging from Cooper's bloody wound in the last episode, to some degree the Black Lodge does toy with your mind. Or do we only see twisted versions of people affected by Bob? Laura, Leland but why Caroline? 'The Autobiography of Dale Cooper: My Life, My Tapes' strong implies that Windom Earle was once possessed by Bob when he "lost his mind", did a Bob-possessed Earle kill Caroline? Perhaps on one occassion Bob left Leland's mind? But why is Earle not a doppelganger when he meets Cooper? Had he defeated his doppelganger prior to their meeting? Is Earle's prescence an illusion created by Bob to toy with Cooper? (Considering he claims his soul in the next scene).

I was just thinking, if you were to only see Doppelgangers of people affected by BOB, Cooper would have seen a lot more than just those of Lauras and Lelands. Im guessing there would be a significant number of people BOB has had his way with. Im also thinking the Earle that Cooper encounts in the Lodge is the real Earle, all just a part of BOB's plan. It's win-win for BOB.

That's one of the funniest things I've ever read on this site... I laughed so hard, toast crumbs came out of my nose.

Hurley is an emo poser. He's all pout and no dark creativity. Leland/BOB, on the other hand, skulks around, brooding. He recites poetry as an act of defiance, talks about what will happen after he's "gone," and wails with preternatural fervor when strongly incensed. Finally, he beats himself to death against a metal door because the sprinklers turn on and ruin his outfit... What could be more emo than that? All Hurley does is break pencils and lamps when he's pissed. What a loser.
