True, the hero, we saw that in the series and in a cliffhanger

 I think Bob being entwined with Major Briggs somehow and delving further into his military background would have been interesting- introducing some corrupt military characters

Also, I would love to have a backstory on a blow by blow detail of what went down with the Log lady's husband

No,  I don't think it would more intresting if Bob does not go into Cooper,  it just would be shitty and pointless to want to change the way the story goes. I love the way the series ends,  the  plot lines  were wrapped up great,  to revist the TPs for  a 3rd season is terrible idea and would ruin what is to me.  Think  of every  great  story and then then  think  of its  sequel.  For fun of this topic, I'll just say I wouldn't really want this,  but  if  Doc  Hayward had  Bob  or Andy  or someone  goofy like that it could be enteraining,  but realisticly not at all.
