Oh, cheers, Lynch... Not really. I understand his reasons for not wanting to continue, but the thing that would have been so perfect about this would be that it would always be slightly outside of canon - we could almost choose whether to accept it or not. Like a more official form of fanfic. And those pics are great! Mind you, I dunno about Bob and Mike being from a planet made of creamed corn...

Jumping on the "I was so excited until I heard Bob Engels' terrible ideas" bandwagon. Though it still woulda been nice to look at.

Oh, Engels revealed the planet of corn idea YEARS ago in WIP... Anyway, we got an interview preview at the TP Fest. Clips from Lynch, Wise, Lee, Chen, Amick & McLachlan. Lookin' good.

Is there anyone that has the pull to contact Lynch and Frost and persuade them to allow non-canon new TP products to be produced? This is a cult show that is not going to go away

Lynch said recently that Twin Peaks is over. Period. Both Lynch and Frost have to give the go ahead for any further TP projects. As for the Graphic novel, Frost said yes and Lynch said no.

My one question is WHY? What does Lynch care what non-canon TP is produced. What he has already created will never be tarnished but adored by new fans and old alike.

Well, since the plan was including it in the Gold Box package, it could possibly have been perceived as canon by some, and that was probably a problem for David. I don't blame him, I don't think what ideas I've heard about concerning a third season were especially good. The "planet of corn" idea might be the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard - and not in a good way. I'm also really confused about Haley saying Engels said they wanted to get "away from the high school setting". In most of the second season, we hardly even see ANY high school scenes, except the ones includning Nadine! Sheryl Lee coming back - as a readhead - only to be killed by BOB - maybe Cooper! - sounds interesting, though. Maybe as yet another cousin? I envision Sarah Palmer as one of the major characters in season 3. She would be even more bizarre and desperate after a good part of her family has been killed. Btw, I love the idea - from Jordan's fanfiction on this site, if I remember correctly - about having a character named Judy Barton on the show. That almost seemed inevitable once I read it. Maybe it could have been the Sheryl Lee redhead? Only downside would be that everyone who had seen Vertigo would have predicted her death immediately!
"What credit card do you want to put that on?" "Caash, prease."

Does anyone know if Matt Haley ever completed this or there is somewhere we can find plot details about it online? I want this , darn it Lynch!

These story ideas sound awful to me, with the possible exception of Sheryl Lee as a red-headed Judy. (Although I don't know how the appearance of yet another Laura look-alike could be made believable.) Just my opinion (priced at $0.00), but I don't want to see any Twin Peaks that isn't Lynch-approved, if not created.
The question is, Where have you gone?

If I learned anything working at a comic book store, it's that the format (comics, graphic novels etc) offers the creator too much freedom. I don't think I need to elaborate on that statement.
