Me too! Me too! And is there any news about the Roadhouse exterior (Colonial Inn)? Does it look like they're working on it? Dab nab it, I'm going next year!

Charles, I was just there a few weeks ago.

No work is being done on the Roadhouse exterior (or interior that I could see).

The liquor permit application is still up on the main doors, though.

Worst Fest ever... No, things were fine, but I've been to soooo many of these things. It was great to see Al, Sandy & Charlotte again, and John Neff's FULL BAND rocked it up royally. Fabulous to see so many first-timers (including babies Caleb & Ethan).  I actually enjoyed FWWM & Lynch II. Showed some folks the semi-final cut of Flappy, to universal delight. NEXT year it'll be part of the SAM program (I'm hopin'). Today the picnic got rained out. By the time everyone had driven to N. Bend, it was dry. Tried to get into a packed N. Bend Grill, but went to Twede's instead. Folks are at the NBG right now, but I returned home, as I have work early in the a.m.   Sorry I couldn't make it, y'all. Love you & will see you in 2008!!!  (On a different note, I was sorta dissappointed that we had such small attention paid to my T.P. Live reading & Chris G. & my performances at The Moose, but I guess folks are scattered in their  ability to commit & concentrate sometimes. I DO appreciate the wonderful actors & friends who participated & encouraged us. You ARE greatly appreciated.  On a final UPside, after many years of never placing in the costume competition, I actually took SECOND place this year, in my most original get-up yet...The Fish in The Percolator!!! Took 2nd to newbie Zach, who bears a startling resemblance to  Chris Isaak. Hope someone posts photos soon....)

Sauve is spot on. Movie night was awesome. A fresh print of FWWM and a DL short, thats friggin' sweet indeed. Al, Charlotte, and Sandy were awesome. John Neff brought the whole band and rocked out. "Free Bird"!!!!!!!!. Excellent Set indeed. Big props to Chris with his Fish in the perculator costume, totally awesome. The first prize winner looked too much like Chris Isaac, (scary huh).  Mother Nature washed out the picnic which was a bummer but never underestimate the power of a great diner or bar to keep the good times rolling.

More to follow......

I'd say things were an unqualified success!!! Let's all say thanks to Rob & Deanne Lindley for their invaluable contributions, to Josh for the Trivia Contest,  to Jordan & Kelly for their years of dedication AND for handing the fest over to the overworked & undervalued Jared & Amanda (Can we call them Jarmanda?)!!! To the other helpers as well (Charlene & Mary), the STARS, & a special pat on the back to Chris Gusta & myself for arranging for & entertaining at The Moose Pre-party. And to me for the TP:Live reading & Flappy preview. Thank you to my cast: Nick, Rachel, Amanda, Angela, Bryan, Karlos,Chris G. & the one & only me. By the way, Rachel (not OUR Rachel) was recruited at the last minute to read: Laura, Heidi, Norma AND Lucy (the most roles of anyone), who had NEVER seen TP before!!! She did a phenomenal job, subbing for Nick's significant other Emily, who'd been called on to perform at the Microsoft picnic (hey, we got bills to pay).  TP: Live will likely never be read again, so I appreciate those who attended-- GREATLY.

Well technically they didn't hand it over...there's always been the four of us organizers. They've just stepped down from their roles on the committee to focus on family life.

Anyway! I've posted my comments and thoughts over at the festival forum. So.

Oops, sorry for the awkward wording. And me a writer!!! I'll hand over my poetic license forthwith!!!!
