Yeah the first Malcolm scene. Should be stroking a pointy moustache and winking at the camera. I've heard of playing with B-movie conventions but there has to be a line somewhere.... Pine weasel scene is kind of goofy and corny and fun - not TP at all but amusing enough. Some of Norma's dialogue with her mother is painful - badly written I mean. The one I really didn't need to see was Audrey losing her virginty. Ick! It hit all the wrong notes for me.

Do we get to see Pete waxing his pine weasel while he watches in that scene, too?

All scenes featuring Lana, even though the Mayor tries to save some of them.
Most scenes featuring Tim Pinkle, especially the dance routines before the Miss Twin Peaks pageant. What a nightmare that was. I like most of Nadine's scenes and some of Dick Tremayne's. Ian Buchanan is hilarious, in my opinion. I like On The Air too.

Speaking of controversial opinions... and I'm not going to win any popularity contests for this, but here it goes: I love Donna Hayward as played by Lara Flynn Boyle! ...and that includes all her wailing and weeping –AND the "Just You and I" scene! The first season Donna was, to me, a fully realized, richly acted masterpiece of a character. My gripe isn't so much about her acting (later) as is is about the radical (and frankly, silly) character changes in the latter part of the series. Overnight, she became uber-manipulative-bitchy Donna (er... Lara Flynn Boyle) which, as we all know, was largely due to character enlarging demands made by the rancid actress herself. I don't know, I still dearly love the Donna from the pilot and (most of) the first season; Laura's devastated and confused best friend floundering about looking for answers. It's just too bad that ratings, willy-nilly director and writer switching, Lynch's absence, and inflated actor egos got in the way of the original vision of Donna Hayward –and Twin Peaks in general.

I agree that the Donna in the first season works very well and is keeping to the tone/mood of the world. I like the Audrey/Donna/Shelly aspect that each represents a different class in the town (Audrey-upper; Donna-middle, Shelly -lower) and each a semi-prisoner in their own home. Even in the second season premiere, I cringed at the new Donna. I get the idea, but hated the execution of it, the tone was off -and her vamping felt forced instead of a subtle, uncontrolable path taking over her. However, it starts to look brilliant compared to the further midseason, end Donna to the season. I hated the Ben/Donna arc. For one, there was no mystery to it -who didn't get it as soon as it was introduced? And basic soap opara plot with no twists -and NO ties to the beginning of the series. It didn't develop from the evolution of the original characters but instead from the need to have some sort of new storyline. But I really discount anything after the body of Maddy is found anyway -except the end in the red room (but substitute Audrey for Annie)

Charles, I agree that LFB let her ego get the best of her. I was hoping Bob would off her as well. Donna could have been the "E". I was told (by a very reliable source) the major reason for LFB change was due to her inability to accept the publicity that Sherlyn Fenn was getting. SF was the sex kitten of the show and LFB wanted to be as well. Thus the change in season 2. I've heard many say what a true bitch she is. LFB would not do an interview for the TWIN PEAKS BOX SET. What a bitch!! But again I thought LFB did an outstanding job in season one. She was the innocent, naive, and sweet girl next door that everyone could relate to.

I love Donna all the way through... the character's developement in season 2 actually makes a lot of sense to me... I love the feeling in the show that Laura's kind of overshadowing and influencing everything, even (or maybe especially) after she's dead. I love the scene in the jail cell, and her scenes with Harold Smith, and most of all her monologue to Laura. Episode 10 is one of my favorites. She doesn't get much to do later in the show, but Lara Flynn Boyle did her best (I feel). I also love every scene of episode 29... I love the way Lynch handles the scene with Donna. He makes something that could have been lame and cliched startling, bizarre, and oddly moving. I'm definitely a big fan of Donna all the way through (excluding FWWM... I really disliked Moira Kelly's performance... she takes away everything that makes the character interesting).
That god damn trailer's more popular than Uncle's Day in a whorehouse!

The funeral after Lelands death. Its not the worst scene, but its the most poorly handled scene. After all the town went through with the 3 murders and the near murder of Ronette, then to find out it was Leland who did it because he was possessed and that he raped his daughter and THEN he kills himself by bashing his face into glass!!!!...... We get a cutesy chummy funeral where its like nothing happened at all. It really sucked.

Z. Interesting, The funeral scene for me is okay but Bobby was right. They were a bunch of hypocrits. Bobby called them out for what they really were. The scene also sets up several others. Shelley making fun of Leland at the Double R and then the scene when Dr. Jacoby and Coop are at Laura's grave. We learn a little something more about there characters.

Staring Man, I think they meant Leland's funeral reception not Laura's funeral, which is fantastic. The Lelend reception is so haphazard -play the watch Donna move around/continuity game. But also what does the ton think -why did Leland die? Does the town think he killed Laura? The second half of the second season is so sloppy it makes me weep.

"Debacle", huh? I think she did a fine job in a relatively thankless supporting role. She stepped into the shoes of a well established character when the original actress refused to participate. Don't know what Lara would've/could've done differently. Or is this just a personal prejudice? Moira's got a much purtier mouth...

I agree, Moira was better suited for it. The wrost scene may have Battis in it, I'm quite sure. Norma's mother's TP's visit was awful, that whole collection of people I could do without. Evelyn/James is painful at times and don't forget Donna showing up in tears.

Alot of people i know really don't like the Harold Smith scenes with Donna, but i think they're all great. Personally, the only scene in the whole show that i can't stomach when i watch it is when Andy smacks his head with the floorboard and just prances around for what seems like forever. I know it's an important scene, and at first is quite funny, it just goes on too long and is poorly captured. Makes me cringe every time. Other than that, besides the obvious plot dives, the show is flawless.

Hands down no contest the little thought bubble of devil Little Nicky above Andy's shoulder.

I' ve grown to love little Nicky and I sure do love Dick.(DT) The wine tasting scene has grown on me along with most of the second season. Episode 19 has so much going on, the hilarity is never better, and it might be my favorite Ben moments. I know Lynch could appreciate this episode. I think e20 takes a turn south a bit, but hate never arrives for me. I will always see DL episodes first, and others push his essence. When bad acting mixes with bad writing that equals Battis, Ernie, and actors that sorta sing when they talk(ex. woman showing Cooper Dead Dog farm)
